Bowie is already laying the ground work for his flip.

His family wants to avoid all the backlash of an in-state battle. He'll announce for Bama most likely on the 23rd. If not Bama than Orgeon or FSU.

It will go all the way to NSD with him, and I think he ends up out of state but if he does decide to stay home it will be MSU.

Yep, Bowie came off super flaky in that article.

Visited both instate schools, yet hasn't visited Bama since he committed.

He's committed for the wrong reasons, an assistant can be gone in a blink of an eye. And it wouldn't shocked me if someone does hire Napier away with a fancy titled position.

I have no idea where Knott will land, but I know it won't be State.

Simmons is State/OM exclusively

Kobe Jones to State

AJ Brown is Bama/OM/State I'd put State at 3rd right now.

Scott Lashley to State

Raekwon Davis is Bama/State

Kylin Hill* to State

Cam Akers* will end up being State/OM

2017*

He has a connection to Oregon with coach Neal - I think Neal coached his Dad. Anyway, Oregon fans aren't very confident in landing him. However, we always expect to be the bridesmaid.

I would put us in the dark horse category with Neal involved.

This is all kinds of wrong. AJ will be ours.

Would much rather him go to Oregon if he doesn't go to Ole Miss

Jeffery Simmons said yesterday that Raekwon Davis is recruiting him to Alabama.

I am gonna call it as I see it and say you can have Raekwon. Watched him play the past 3 years and he consistently disappears in games when he by far the most physically gifted lineman on the field. He needs a ton of work and maybe a testicle implant to become anything other than a space eater. Now if he'd agree to change to OT I'd take if we had a scholly to burn on a project.

I watched the best DT in the Sip tonight and it isn't even in doubt....but even Benito takes plays off but at least he doesn't take quarters off.

Hm. Alabama is more likely to go 0/3 here than 3/3.

Simmons has no in-state connections. He could end up there, but he's made it clear he's not grown up a fan of either in-state school. He's a Bama lean right now. So is AJ Brown, who wasn't even listed by TideSaint.

Davis COULD stay in-state, but the feeling about HS coaches/boosters right now is that LSU is the bigger threat for him, although he's leaning to sticking with Bama.

DD Bowie also has made it clear he wants to go out of state. We'll see. Who knows about Akers? I'll admit it'll be tough to keep both Najee Harris and Akers. If we managed that coup, it might be the best RB duo I've ever seen in one class. I can't see it happening.

He is? LOL. How do you figure? Bowie has consistently told everyone who will listen that he's favored going out of state all along. I mean, he could stay in-state, but he doesn't really have any in-state pull at all.

Most of prospects in MS don't have connections to any school. David Turner and Tony Hughes are working their magic with Simmons, and he's a huge priority. He also wants to stay close to home because of his mother. In the end, there will be too much favor to stay in-state. I would bet on it.

Davis is Bama/State

Cam Akers will be State/OM by sometime next year.

Kylin Hill grew up a State fan and is right next door in Columbus. We were on him first.

As a Clinton grad I assumed he would probably go to State. Most good players from there do. But looking back, Clinton hasn't had a D-1 prospect in a long time and no one near as elite as Akers.

The last group of kids who were SEC caliber players were from 99-00 in Dontae Walker, Coco Hodge (fricking travesty what happened to that kid) and Clarence McDougle. Two out of three went to State and one was committed there before our asshat head coach ruined his career by running him in a game against Greenville Weston when we were up by 49.

So you had two go to State and one ended up being a hot dog shy of 300 pounds as a RB by the time he was kicked off the team.

Perhaps the MSU "pull" in Clinton is being overexaggerated.

We have two of the better Clinton players on roster that have come out of there in a while. But I'm just saying everything I've heard is that Akers will be an in-state battle next year.
