This isn't a troll

Does Martin know how to get a bunch of talented 1 and dones to play together and mature fast? The NCAA tourney has shown that what wins is maturity which is why Cal has only won one .

There is a shooting guard who signed with st louis who I beleive if you wanted you could get.

The only one and done he's recruited is the best High School player in the country. If he can get Knox that would be two, but that's a big if.

I wouldn't call 2 of 14 players being "one and dones" as a bunch.

The team will be built around MPJ.

Jaylen Brown was a one and done and Ivan Rabb was projected to be.

Mark Smith just finished his official visit to MSU and will be picking between Kentucky and Ohio State for his final visit. It's clear Smith has no interest in coming to Mizzou. We can cross him off our list.

Ok? I still don't see having 1 or 2 top 10 talented guys on the team as a minus.

We're not talking about Kentucky who fields 6-7 one and dones a year.

Harrison Barnes was not a one and done even though many projected that he would be. Marvin Williams was a one and done, but I'm not sure that was Roy's last one. That was over a decade ago.

after seeing how shitty california was when they had jaylen brown and rabb then watching brown blossom in the nba i'm not holding my breath. brown wasn't some fringe top 10 player he was lke the 2nd ranked player in his class.

Does it still hurt that Mike Anderson will have always done more at Mizzou than at his 'home'?

Martin was a bad fit at Cal. He's a Midwest guy who can recruit the area.

I don't get this notion that Martin can't coach. He took over poor situations at all of his stops and improved them all.

I'll say this. You all better hope he's as shitty a coach as you guys are projecting him to be because he's obviously going to bring in the talent needed to be a title contender.

How was the situation at Tennessee poor

He inherited a program that had made 6 straight NCAA Tourneys and the starting lineup he inherited was

PG: Trae Golden (4*)
SG: Jordan McRae (4*)
SF: Cam Tatum (4*)
PF: Jeronne Maymon (4*)
C: Kenny Hall (4*)

He also had two five stars on the roster in Scotty Hopson and Tobias Harris on the roster but both declared for the draft after working out with Cuonzo for a few weeks.

In addition to that, he had a 5* signed, sealed and delivered to him in Jarnell Stokes in year 1 from Pearl who got his older brother a scholarship to the school.

What is so shitty about that situation?

You think it is a big time coaching feat to make it to the play in game by year 3 after walking in to that?

Here is the roster he left Donnie Tyndall by the way after making 1 tourney in 3 years

PG: 3* Josh Richardson (give Cuonzo a lot of credit for the development here, very very good player)
SG: None on roster (Tyndall brought in Kevin Punter)
SF: 5* Robert Hubbs
PF: 3* Armani Moore
C: 3* Derek Reese

This is improving the situation?

Again, keep hoping/praying. Zo walked into UT with the NCAA squarely up your arse because of Pearl and a fanbase that wouldn't except any other coach than Pearl.

Anyway, Mark Smith is not signing Wednesday. Zo is still working him hard as well. Putting together an incredible class.

I've seen him coach 60-70 games in person. I know all about how he operates. Nice enough guy but putrid on game days.

Maybe Michael Porter Sr and company can help him figure some things out Xs and Os wise but I wouldn't hold my breath when he couldn't get by Hawaii in the first round with Jaylen Brown, Ivan Rabb and Jordan Mathews.

Mizzou fans know about that Hawaii team all too much. Their best player was a mizzou transfer.

To add to that, That was the same Hawaii team who lost to Oklahoma(final four) by 3

Today I learned that Smith was once committed to Mizzou for baseball.
