Top 3 of VOLS, Oklahoma and A&M per Rivals.

Crystal Ball still reads in favor of Ohio State

Any Aggies hearing anything?

I hope he picks VOLS but it doesn't seem like LB is too much of a priority with our limited spots.

A couple of insiders feel like it is a really close call and think we've got a decent shot. His family came down with him, which is always a good sign, and his mom apparently loved the visit. I think we're right up there with OU at this point.

He's visited TN like 6 times this year with his family.

I feel like if we find a way to fit him in, he'll be a Vol due to proximity.

Maybe we can pull a Hugh Freeze and all of a sudden get ridiculously talented players from way out of state all in one class.

He's a guy you take regardless of need or room especially at UT.

Other than keeping Virginia in our pocket (we recruit a lot there) why do you say especially at UT?

He's a great recruit to be sure and one that likely wouldn't be turned down by any program but I don't understand what makes us special in terms of taking him.

How is depth at LB, going into 2015.

Disagree. Anyone that follows UT would most likely disagree.

Pretty damn strong imo.

Maggitt is likely to move to MLB and you would have Bryant, Bynum and Cherry behind him.

JRM, Bates, McDowell, Weatherd, Berry and Austin Smith at OLB.

You don't just "move to Middle Linebacker".

The only times we had a decent defense since 2002 were 2010 and 2012. Both defenses had a senior multi-year starter at MLB.

While I get what you're saying.. Maggit has been in the program for a few years now and is the best leader on the team outside of AJ Johnson. He also knows the defense as well as anyone.

Just posting what I hear. Besides, Maggitt is probably the best candidate due to his size and the fact that he will be a 5th year SR in 2015. If not him, then we'll have either a RS FR or true Freshman at Mike.

If getting out on the field early is important to him, A&M would be a great choice.

A&M has a lot of playing time there for the taking by a good recruit at all the LB spots.

Bro, we are cheating like crazy. We've already cheated pretty good at LB...now we need to cheat at some other positions to get some studs.

But personally, I agree with what you said. He's pretty talented.

Oklahoma leads, but I think we are in his top 3. Really enjoyed his visit apparently and knows he's gonna play early and often if he picks us, but I'm not confident about it.
