He was the only true or redshirt freshman starting at LB in the entire conference. That is by definition making it on the team by default because he had zero competition. The other 2 LBs to make it on the team were backups this season. Dejon Harris started ZERO games for Arkansas this season. Devin White started ZERO games for LSU this season.
So, again. He did not make "1st team All sec freshman" because it doesn't exist. He made Freshman all-SEC, and he made it with zero competition from anyone else because he was the only freshman starter at LB in the entire conference. It's pretty easy to pick someone when they're the only person starting there. In case you still dont get it. I never once said he was bad, just said the obvious which was he obviously made it on the all-freshman team because there was no one else to put in his spot that would make any sense.

So, lsu writers could get that quote from Brennan, but not gay? Gay was there at the same time... isn't the logical next move to ask gay to comment on that 3rd hand quote?

It's all semantics and he'll be listed as the winner without stipulation in the record books. I'm sure there are plenty of examples of this happening in the past.

Well Brennan was interviewed on Sunday. Gay may or may not have been there at the same time as that interview. Brennan spent a lot of extra time on this visit working with Canada.

At any rate, Leo had a pretty good year as a freshman, coached by a guy who was hired before he was ready to be a DC.

How bad would the melt be if you didn't get him? No doubt LSU would love to get him, but I trust in Aranda's abilities to bring the next man up to his fullest potential.

Literally the only thing Myles needs is weight. He'll redshirt and should be 6'3" 190ish going into his RS freshman year.

Maybe he'll surprise me, but he was bad in al-ms all star game. You don't find it concerning a 4-star Mississippi qb wasn't really pursued by state or om? The kid's coach had to throw a temper tantrum to get an om offer that was probably more public damage control than anything
