Serious question, can you afford to take on three stars when you are taking such a small class. Honest question.

This kid is good. Bielema offered him at our camp the other day and I was really hoping we would get him.

Dan Mullen was the first sec coach to notice this diamond and offer.

Big time get. I'll be surprised if he doesn't make a big jump and end up in the top 5-10 in state this year.

He looks like he's cut from the Ethan Wolfe mold. I'll take that all day

Yep, from what I've heard, this kid is about to blow up

None. This kid has been blowing up and on top of that he is local and his HS has been producing some solid talent recently. 2 of our 11 starters on offense this year may be from this kids HS. I believe it's a pretty small school but I don't see any way this kid could be in danger for those reasons.

The big 3 private schools in Knoxville have done a solid job developing D1 talent the last several years (all sports). Good to see Butch go after the local kids, unlike his predecessor

Minimal...Knoxville kid is less likely to get processed, simply because it would piss off the natives.

He is a Tight End who caught 68 passes for over 800 yards and 7 tds last season. I think that he has been overlooked a bit because of his weight and where he plays.

Pope won't be a three star for long. He's a very, very good prospect. Top 5 in the state, easy.

Bust.

On a serious note, I see he is from the Knoxville area. Is he a legacy or connected to UT by family?

It seems like 3* TE season in the SEC.

Yah...Nebraska, State, Missouri, Arkansas, and TN all offered after he camped with them. In that order, I think.

His father played football at Bowling-Green. He died of brain cancer last April (he was only 50...tragic). No family connection I know of with UT.
