Also, he should be ranked a lot higher IMO. Kid is an absolute stud.

His Hudl film is electric. Kid is going to be a beast.

Only one service ranked him and he was an 88 (fairly high 3 star)

He had grade issues and didn't camp.

Ill take his 2000 yards in 10 games and assume he's pretty good at running the rock.

He's probably a good player; really good, actually. It's hard to get offered by big time colleges and not be really good unless you're Jake Holland. Sadly, I don't follow recruiting anymore and don't know anything about Auburn's recruits, much less Georgia's...

My point was he came in the newest Auburn commit thread and laughed because the player was a 3 star. This guy is, too...

Was his ranking based partly on him being an academic risk?

I'm not 100 percent. A lot of times if a kid doesn't camp against the other top talent then services like Rivals wont' rate them or won't rate them as highly as the would if they seen the kid in person. No one thought he would qualify so the only service that did rate him was 247 and at 88 with not much exposure they are probably in the right ball park for him. He looks good on film and hes been to campus a bunch so the coaches were willing to take him. I don't think we would have taken him had Rivers not gotten kicked off the team. Our mods seemed adamant that even if he made grades we wouldn't take him so this was a surprise.

Yeah and lots of 3 stars are damn good players that turn out to be great. Not sure why anyone would laugh at that. Not only that, the 3 star backer ya'll got is a damn good player.

In that case, you made a legitimate point. I am hoping we can keep this thread a "Not troll" zone and everybody can just be happy for each other when somebody signs a kid.

Herrien is officially a dawg, he is ranked the 19th best RB according to the composite rankings 247 put together rather fast. I personally like him more than Holyfield who is ranked 6th, still a big time pickup this late in the game. Add D'Andre Swift this cycle and the future of UGA's running attack looks solid.

We were looking to be a little thin at depth in the coming years though.

I guess that is a concern when it seems like we cripple half your team every time we play
