Committing Sunday with a top 3 of Arkansas, OK St and Mizzou. Crystal Balls show Arkansas, but he'll be at our big recruiting event this weekend.

What are you Hog fans hearing?

Everyone thinks he'll be a Hog but the Mizzou visit has me worried. It's odd timing to take a visit and then announce like that.

The real question though should be will he flip to Tennesse if they miss on their top 2 targets and then offer him.

Yup. I was thinking the exact same thing. His dad played at UT, right?

I could definitely see him flipping. Jones will come through with a 11th hour offer to frick another school...

Anyway, we weren't even in his top 5 last month so apparently we've made a big move. Be interesting to see where he goes, but I'm still betting Arkansas.

Hopefully.

I know you guys could use him too but we need to restock the RB cupboard in a big way.

Tennessee took another RB in Cotham to pair with the kid from Monroe.

Cotham will play defense for UT.

We've prioritized Chandler and Akers at RB. A bit of a gamble, imo.

Big risk, I really would have liked to had Hayden in this class.

If anything he could have been an early in state recruit that could have helped build the instate recruiting better than it's gone thus far.

I imagine there is a possibility you get him even if he commits to one of us. He's not one I would count in a class until Tennessee is full. I don't think anyone would fault a legacy for wanting to go to where his dad played, even if it's a last minute choice.

Hayden's Dad quotes from an Article Davenport put out...sorry, no link

“I was very impressed with the strength coach,” Hayden said. “I’m hard on running back coaches and strength coaches and he blew me away.”

The meeting with Herbert wasn’t like most others Hayden has encountered.

“We sat down and most of the times these guys give you these long drawn out presentations and he sat us down and said, ‘What questions do you have?'” Hayden said. “So I started hitting him with, ‘What do you do within strength development? What do you do for explosiveness? What do you do for agility?’ And he just went boom, boom, boom, boom, boom.”

When the subject of agility was discussed, Herbert did a hands-on presentation.

“He said, 'Chase get on the ground,' and he pulled out some bands with spikes on it and he rubbed him out and then he had him do a few stretches and then he had him……he knows his stuff,” Hayden said. “When you’ve been a player, you know who knows their stuff and you know who’s kind of running the program. I was very, very impressed with him.”

Because of his intensity, Herbert is known to sweat while talking to recruits and their families.

“You could tell he’s all in,” Hayden said. “He was sweating up a storm, but it didn’t bother him. He just wiped it off and kept going.“

If we miss on Akers and Chandler and don't offer/sign Hayden it will be a real head scratcher imo.

Cotham will slide over to CB once he's on campus for his speed. UT will still take 2 more RB's this class

Hayden thinks highly of Arkansas from everything I have seen. He will be a good pickup for either Arkansas or Missouri. I don't think he ends up out at Oklahoma st.
