So message board gurus know more about where a kid is being recruited to play than the kid himself? Good to know. Quinnen also mentioned that he may be moved inside, but they are starting him outside. The point of it is that Quinnen Williams, 6'4 265 pounds is not being recruited for the same position as Rashard Lawrence, 6'3 305.

For the record, Brent Calloway spent his redshirt year practicing with the running backs. Perhaps he saw that with TJ as an early enrollee and Eddie Lacy as the heir apparent, he probably wasn't going to see the field at that position anytime soon.

Interesting that you didn't respond to my post. I was hoping to hear your take on how a 6'4 265 player's commitment somehow affects a player who is 6'3 305.

That is the equivalent of saying "we have a commitment from Riley Cole, an outside linebacker. I hope it doesn't affect our standing with Mack Wilson, an inside linebacker."

If one has nothing else to say these days (or no way to refute what someone has just written), apparently the cool thing to write is "You mad" or something like that. It doesn't sound like chattabama is mad at all.

So, on the other hand, we should just assume that they DO plan to move him to another position? Chatta is correct. He's about as natural a fit for Bama's DE position as it gets. Most of our nose tackles are, at minimum, 315+.

Well, Rashard Lawrence will not be your nose tackle. So y'all can move on to Gary or some other recruit.

Agreed!

He will be playing next to 360lb NT Kendall Jones at Alabama!

Why would anyone go to lsu? So they can lose 4 or 5 games a year?

Is it really that funny though? I mean is it that much of a stretch?

Do LSU fans really want to go down this road of who Alabama will or will not get?

Why go to LSU?

Because college players want to become NFL players. LSU puts more players in the NFL than any other school, and LSU players typically do well in the NFL.

I'm not saying we sign him, but the chances of it happening are pretty good.

ROFL at the one guy laughing at the prospect at Lawrence going to Bama. At this point, for one of them to think there's not a decent chance of it happening is laughable in and of itself. How many do we have to take out of that state for a few of them to learn? They'll always get more, but we'll take some from time to time.

Laugh away, though. It always makes it that much more pleasurable when you guys melt down.

If the ESPN website is correct, UA has 50 players in the NFL while LSU has 46. Yet another way that LSU has fallen behind UA. LINK

Also, in terms of whose players are doing better, here are the NFL top 100 results:
LSU:
Kyle Williams
O'Dell Beckham Jr.
Patrick Peterson

Alabama:
CJ Mosley
Eddie Lacy
Marcell Dareus
Julio Jones
