LSU extends an offer, receives commitment from East St. John WR Da'Monte Coxie

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound prospect was arguably the top performer on Friday, proving to be the most consistent wide receiver at the camp. Coxie was tested frequently by the LSU staff, as they threw all of their top prospects at him to get a feel for what kind of competitor he is. Well, the verdict is in; LSU likes what they saw.

Doesn't have elite speed, but is a ball player. Consistently worked some of the best dbs in America at lsu's camp this past week
This is the type of kid that would go to a place like Mississippi state and have LSU fans wondering how we let him get away. We'll see if he can get on the field ahead of guys like Tyron Johnson, Dee Anderson, Stephen Sullivan, etc. during his time at LSU

Possession WR. I read where he did improve his 40, but won't be flying by people anytime soon. Hopefully he keeps up his hard work and adds that to his game.

Love when in state kids work and get a offer at the big schools in state. Cant tell too much from film besides he is tough and im pretty sure you guys will run to his side a lot the way he did that big guy at the beginning...

Uhh Mykel Jones was suppose to be better than Charlot when Bama got him. Supposedly we only offered Charlot because of Jones at the time.
