247 just rolled out this new feature. Here are the rankings for the top players overall since 2000:

LINK

Spoiler: Clowney is #1.

Each individual team site has their schools highest rated players since 2000 as well.

Pretty cool feature.

Ernie Sims, that takes me back.

If memory serves (and this was a long time ago) he really like us and it was down to us and FSU. He was dead set on wearing his HS number which was 34. We said lol ok yeah right while FSU unretired the number to give him.

Click the logo next to the player. It takes you to the current commit list, but then you can click "All Time Recruits" at the top

thanks. In our top 15, I'd say all but 1 guy contributed at least SOMETHING to the team. Sure a few guys didnt' live up to the hype, but we at least got some ok production from most of those guys.

All the talent in the world. The guy clearly has work ethic or motivation issues.

I'm just glad he didn't get us on probation

I remember, it was all but a done deal. Kiffin got nervous about Cecil, and backed off.

Clowney isn't #1 overall. He's tied for first with 4 other dudes. He just is first alphabetically....

It is not a re-ranking based on actual talent, it's just ordering their high school rankings.

Clearly, Clowney is not the number 1 prospect or football player since the year 2000. He's probably not even in the top 100.

#1 on their list and selected #1 Overall in his draft, how many of the other 100 players you think were better out of HS did that? Clowney was the best and you are jelly for no reason.

Yep, he's appropriately ranked 12 spots ahead of Adrian Peterson, and Brock Berlin is the best Pro-Style quarterback of the last 16 years.

Clowney had the most ridiculous high school highlight reel ever.

You're now on your second post, and you don't yet realize that they're ranked by their recruiting rankings?

I 100% realize that. Who cares about high-school projections, when we already have the final product.

I waited 3 years for us to use him once as a RB/FB like they did in his HS highlight reels, only to never see it. He would break off these 40+ yard runs where he would outrun all the DB's. He was so fast for being so big.
