Even better. Alabama ranks #104. UGA ranks #135. If Robertson is serious about academics, he should not consider UGA.

Not sure where the raw ranking came from, but generally speaking rankings like this work very similar to recruiting rankings... buckets. Outside of the top 10, 25, and then 50, they all start to lump together a bit. Additionally, most of these rankings are heavily weighted toward graduate program "quality". Even this one: LINK , which puts UA at a rating of 85 compared to UGA's rating of 82... 57% weighted toward the graduate program which is less relevant to a football player's undergraduate program. There actually would be some value here if Drob is a student that needs additional help, given that our Engineering program is significantly smaller. Couple that with the average starting salary for a UGA grad and I can see why one might consider UGA over UA from a strictly educational standpoint.

I said all that just to point out the idiocy of attempting to use a ranking system to determine which public "university of < state >" program is better... outside of a select few, they are by and large similar. If it's truly an educational decision the ranking would be: Stanford........ Notre Dame.......... Georgia Tech.............................................................................................. Alabama/Georgia...
I don't think he ends up a dawg, but it's possible...

This dude's recruitment reminds me of Terrell Pryor. Signing day was like a year ago. I don't even care where he ends up.

Agreed. A me player who might have all the talent in the world, but he's basically holding five school's hostage waiting on his announcement when I truly believe he knows what he's going to do.

never understand why some fans don't understand that it's his decision and he's allowed to take this time to make it. he's not holding anybody hostage. nobody is holding a gun to any of these schools head to hold a spot for him. he's a kid trying to make one of the most important decisions of his life. besides recruiting junkies with too much time on their hands, who cares if he announced last week or announces 2 weeks from now? honestly, what real difference would that make to any of you? it might make a lifetime of difference to him.

the increased coverage recruiting gets these days has made some fans entirely lose perspective. it's not about us. we've got somebody crying about this kid in this thread literally every day now, calling him a drama queen, etc. newsflash: he hasn't made up his mind yet. you'll know when he does. just let the kid make his decision on his own time, as he is well within his rights to do. no need for all this crying.

(he's prob not coming to bama anyway obv but we'd be glad to have him.)

He's had plenty of time to make up his mind. I understand basketball getting in the way, but he seems like an attention whore.

says who? the signing period hasn't closed yet so clearly the ncaa disagrees. if I had a chance to improve my test score and go to fricking Stanford, you damn well better believe I'd take all the time I needed.

it's his life, and he hasn't made up his mind yet. it's a big decision and the signing window is still open so it's not like he's even asking for special treatment. seems like the smart thing to do actually.

pretty straightforward.

Everything.

Notre Dame leads, but I'm waiting.
Alabama and Georgia might be in it, I'm not sure.
My mom loves Georgia Tech, so here's a picture of me with a GT football.
I really like Stanford, but waiting on my SAT score.

His recruitment has been nothing but uncertainty and maybes.

I don't think he's doing any of this for attention. I think part of it is the kid really does have aspirations beyond football that he wants to make sure he giving his due diligence to and another part is some family craziness that is muddying the water for him. Mom wants one thing (Tech and proximity), brother wants one thing (Stanford or Notre Dame and to live vicariously through his lil bro), and the high school kid wants one thing (UGA social experience with the friends he made in recruiting). It's not as cut and dry as we like to think it'd be. Good for him for taking his time and being settled on a decision.

At this point in the process, you've had plenty of time to come up with a decision or decide on what matters most to you. He's been recruited for 2+ years now. I understand Stanford being a priority and waiting on a test score, but you've had every chance to take visits and get your thoughts in order prior to this point. No need to drag it out this far with no end in sight.

Who is he holding hostage? Any school that feels he is not worth holding a scholarship for because he is taking to long can pull the offer and move on to alternative options if they need to. Even though he is highly rated none of the schools recruiting classes are hinging on his decision. I think you guys are going overboard with the criticism of this kid.

there is an end in sight though. since when was it written in stone that you have to sign on sighing day? it's never been that way. the signing period runs until April 1st.

And what difference does it make to you or any fan if he's still weighing his options, trying to improve his score, pleading with his mother, etc.? It's not like there are any games between now and then he's gonna miss. it's his decision and it's one of the most important ones he'll ever make. when he announces has literally zero effect on all you people in this thread calling him a drama queen.

Some of you need to get a hobby or something. did you not have any friends in high school who were still trying to get into their dream school at this point in their senior year? there are countless kids in America right now still sorting out where they'll be attending school next year. DRob is no different.

I do not understand why you people get bent out of shape by this. absurd.

Lol what makes you think he wants UGA for social experience and friends he made while visiting?

Kids make friends at every school they visit. You don't think he made friends and connections while he was committed to Bama for all that time? Likely way more connection than a few visits to UGA and Mecole tweeting everything about every recruit he knows. Plus Bama has the same exact social experience as UGA and he decommitted from that. Not sure how you pieced that logic together.

He's stated he wants to play with Lecounte and Eason. Both play for UGA.

Because he is from GA, has expressed a desire to play with numerous guys now playing for or that are committed to UGA, and it's fricking Athens and any high school kid would fall all over themselves to indulge in that social scene.

But relax Francis, it's but a single factor in what appears to be a 10-deep of things and people that he is considering to make his decision.

Lots of posturing in this thread.......you would think if he was that much of a lock to a school that he.......well he would be committed.
