This whole thing is dumb. If he wants to go to the best school, UGA and Alabama will be in a distant 3rd anyway to ND and Stanford.

A guy told me today that if Robertson does not qualify for Stanford he's heading to N. Dame, basically said UGA, GT, and Bama have been eliminated. Take it for what it's worth.

Hoping he gets into Stanford, if that is the case.

Somebody posted that Robertson will be OV'ing in Athens this weekend, I hope the Irish alum that fed me that garbage is full of shite so I could rub it in. The N. Dame folks are pissed that a legacy like Jacob Eason did not really even consider them. The grad transfer OT Tyler Catalina will be in Athens also, sure would be sweet if we could bag both and put a wrap on this recruiting class.

Catalina is verbally committed to Iowa St. and has signed his FA paperwork with them but after getting this late action he has stated he will explore all options. I tend to agree with you IT on Robertson, I'm not holding my breath.

TIFWIW, but Woody Wommack interviewed Robertson just yesterday and he said that his test score will be out tomorrow and he will know Stanford then. If he doesn't get in he will visit UGA OR Bama. He said he was ready to sign on NSD but wanted to wait on Stanford.

Robertson said right from his mouth that if his mother had it her way he would be a yellow jacket. She lives in Lagrange and is within stones throw of Atlanta. She said ND has good education but GT is on the same level but closer to home. He not mention UGA or Bama when talking about education. It was all Stanford, GT and ND.

He is far from a ND lock. I do think after Woodys interview that it is a GT/Stanford/ND battle with UGA on the outside of this one whether he OVs or not.

It would be interesting for sure if he lands at Tech, of course JJ Green will be eligible to play. Marshall looks like he could be the goods, Tech's O could be back to it's 2014 form in Thomas's last season in Atl. Why even visit Athens or Tuscy if he does not qualify for Stanford?

Not sure on the last part. I think he already knows where he wants to go and he may commit before going on another visit. Strange kid to read.

He is a different guy for sure. Not your typical 5 star guy. His place on the football field is different too. Not a true WR size wise, not a RB, not big enough for safety would be a waste at CB talent wise. He is a one cut and burn em type guy. A guy you just want to get in space or on special teams.

At GT, I'd have to imagine him at ABack as s threat on the pitch or a threat over the top in one on one coverage.

And he could very well end up at UGA or UA. Woodys interview just didn't lead me to believe he would. I don't think it's GT besting anyone, I think he's just a different guy that really isn't in it just for football. Of course nothing against UGA or UA on education either. Just a perception I guess on GT/ND/Stan academically.

But you guys make it sound like UGA is though when comparing it to other SEC schools and it is not. Sorry to burst your bubble. I received both my undergrad and grad degrees from state schools in business and both are ranked way better than UGA. I also would not include a&m or UF for a great business school and none of them including UGA are on par with UNC.

You DO know he wants to major in Civil Engineering or Architecture and not business, right?

The 6-foot, 175-pound senior told the station he wants to major in Civil Engineering or Architecture.

To compare the UGA Business school is immaterial.

Well, they would be the choice for Civil Engineering. All three are good schools for that. But the one thing that keeps nagging at me is why go for a visit if he has already made his mind up? If that is the case, he would just wait for the scores. If he makes the score he goes to Stanford. If he does not make the score he goes to his second choice. If his mind was made up there would be no reason for any more visits.

Even better. Alabama ranks #104. UGA ranks #135. If Robertson is serious about academics, he should not consider UGA.

He could go to Ga Tech for CE, as its ranked right next to Stanford in the top 5, and get to play close to home...Obviously he doesn't care about being close to home, otherwise he would have committed to Tech.

I think he wants to GTFO of GA and Stanford is a top choice. Otherwise, its ND...hope hes okay with freezing cold winters.

Agree. He does seem hellbent on going out west with Cal also in there.

I don't see why Tech isn't a bigger player.
If he actually cares for Academics then Tech makes perfect sense.

He shouldn't even think about UGA/UA

Not really because I have not followed him since he decommitted. And I was only chiming in regarding the posts on page 2 two which I believe got started by the GT fan who mentioned the Terry school and it went from there.

He gets his SAT results back today and I personally think it will be a miracle if he qualifies for Stanford. If he wants to major in CE then Tech makes all the sense in the world, the jackets may just be the favorite here.

He is so hard to read IMO. He really isn't letting anything through. Nothing he is doing makes sense. Why visit UGA and UA if you make Stanford? I guess unless you just want to use the OVs for a good time? IDK.
