You make it sound like UGA is an ivey league and they are not even close. Again if he ends up in the SEC UGA holds no advantage. Coming to the SEC means education is no longer the main reason for him signing.

Maybe he would like to catch passes from the future #1 pick of the 2019 draft Jacob Eason?

Or maybe he would actually like to win something with a proven HC. Remember every recruiting class under has won a NC.

What's the deal with him?

His brother is his guardian and basically running his recruitment; has it in his head that Demetris can not only get into a place like Stanford but actually handle that academic rigor and that the in-state schools - particularly UGA - offer no meaningful educational opportunity.

Come on TideWarrior, you know just like with LSU, there is no way Alabama could get someone from those states unless some mysterious behind the scenes person is orchestrating it.

I've never put UGA in the same category as GT, ND or Stanford. But if we're comparing an Alabama education vs. UGA education, it's a mismatch. Just like I'd give credit on the field to Bama being much better than UGA. I don't see any outlandish comments here.

Cherry pick degrees/colleges all you want. The truth is Bama is a shitty academic school. Sorry man

I was unaware Georgia's nickname was "Harvard of the South."

It's actually not, but don't let facts get in the way of your opinion, man.

No recruiter is going to remotely give a frick if an applicant has a Georgia or Alabama degree. Or should.

Doesn't Robertson want to major in business? If so, it isn't cherry picking.

I am still laughing at this.I have never heard anyone outside of maybe a UGA alum rave about the college and its academics. It is an average state school and nothing more. I would wager that someone with a degree from any other state school in GA could compete for any job in the state with a graduate from UGA with the exception of a vet major.

And considering he wants to be a business major I would wager he could land a job in Atlanta just as easy within a degree from GSU which probably holds up to the same value as one from UGA. Except he wants to play football. But lets not kid ourselves on the education here at the flagship state school.

I will not let you believe this, though.

It's a good school but the gap between UGA and Stanford is way larger than the gap between UGA and UA.

But the gap between UGA and UA is greater than the gap between UGA and UVA.

This, children, is a prime example of throwing some ignorant shite at the internet wall and just hoping it sticks.

And this

Is pretty unfair given that UGA is considered to be a better state school than those in Alabama, South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee (Vandy being Private), Missouri, Kentucky, etc. UGA is hardly Stanford level (but when your competition is Harvard, Yale, and Princeton, it's kind of en exclusive club) but we very much so hold our own alongside Florida, UNC, A&M, and other major public institutions.

I meant they are both as good as each other. Go as far as you want with those degrees.
