Sounds like Kongbo has played almost every staff in America. This decommitment never really happened. From the sound of things, he's been instructed to tell every staff he visits he's coming. This is to insure that that staff holds a spot open for him and then they end up with no player or a sh!tty one.
It seems that only Nick Saban was able to see through the bullsh!t. He was tipped off by another coach that this was happening and then moved his visit to the following week. Kongbo then canceled the visit all together.
Butch Jones has pulled some serious strings with this one and the NCAA should start looking into his program. If he's willing to do this, what else is he capable of? I'm sure there's a lot of stuff being covered up in Knoxville. That maybe the dirtiest staff in America.

I will always be grateful to Tee for 98, but he hasn't done himself any favors with Vol fans recently that's for sure

Do these people seriously believe that Butch not only was cool with it, but actually encouraged a 5 star d lineman to go spend weekends with some of the top recruiters in the country just to f with them? Most of these schools we don't even have a lot of recruiting battles with. Oh and by the way, Usc fans calling Tennessee shady over recruiting is about like Tennessee fans calling Usc out for playing their fight song to much.

It is going to be interesting to see what happens with Kongbo. The Warchant recruiting insider said Kongbo's visit to FSU this past weekend went really well.
Even with an excellent visit I can still see him signing with Tennessee. Whichever school he commits to he will be a key contributor on the defense!

I talked with a couple of players today about visitors this weekend. Jonathan Kongbo is a monster. He weighed in @ a solid 257lbs at 6'4". Unfortunately, he already had his decision made to attend Tennessee.
We all heard the rumors that his decommitment was a sham, and from all accounts, it's true. It's unreal that a coach would have a player decommito publicly so he could play games in the media. While Kongbo was here he had a great time partying but was not interested in much else.
Interesting tactic by Butch Jones. I find it hilarious that Nick Saban put him off when he apparently got a tip about this. Kongbo decided at that point to cancel his visit. I honestly think CJF should have cancelled this one, but he honestly thought he could flip him.

VQ update last night said he spoke with TN coaches and players last night and we feel very good about our chances.
BUT they said Ole Miss and FSU spoke to him yesterday as well and their sources say he did not let them know they were out of it yet like he said he would on Monday.
So still anyone's ball game lol.
