Obviously no hate towards the kid, but this type of feel good gimmick really has no business in legitimate sports.

I generally agree, but if they can actually compete at that level then I'm all for it. I hate when the other team lets someone score from sympathy, but if Rudy can actually earn it then good for him.

It's not like he's a make-a-wish kid out there. He's legitimately good at basketball and he's not taking up a scholarship so I don't see the problem with it.

I see him in SW rec playing daily. By far the best player on the court in the pick up games. He's no slouch, of course can't compete with D1 players, but he would beat me 21-5 playing 21.

I see him there all the time as well. Nice kid as well. Seems like a high character individual.
