Your team is 5-7, and there aren't enough bowl teams so your team gets invited

Do you accept for the money and bowl practices, or decline because 5-7 teams shouldn't play in bowl games?

I feel like Mizzou made the correct choice. I'd be embarrassed to watch my team in a bowl game at 5-7.

If you want to get better, you go and take the practices and game experience.

If you want to be a bitch and take the conference's bowl money regardless then don't

chances are that Bowl doesn't pay enough to cover the huge expenses of that bowl trip.

From a "deserving to go" standpoint...no they don't deserve it. But i don't see how a school can turn down the extra practices and what not. I feel a school should always accept a bowl bid, deserving or not.

I would have been fine turning down this bowl game to be honest. All this is doing is getting my hopes up for the off season so far. I don't need that.

Team vote.

Mizzou had other reasons for making the choice they did. Very strange season to say the least.

I think if I were a coach I'd take the bid and tell the seniors their season was over and just practice and play the young guys.

That's what we (fans) do. Just watch and enjoy it.

Technically, Mizzou did not have a head coach after the last scheduled game. The extra practices would have been good. But Mizzou just needed to do a reset. It was the right decision by the AD at the time.

I think the SEC should just make a policy that its 5-7 teams don't go to bowl games.

Not if you want to punish the team for holding the school hostage over a fabricated event

I get what the OP is saying, but it's more of an embarrassment to schools like UCLA, Central Michigan and Georgia State who lost to the 5-7 teams this year.
