Honestly, I think of them as one of the "blue bloods of the SEC". Obviously, not a "national blue blood", but probably the third best team in the conference overall.

because they've got a solid history, have had some absolutely great players, even made a Final Four when I was in HS... but now it's just embarrassing. Some of the worst coaching I've ever seen, and I'm an Auburn fan. Their fans don't care either, or say they don't anyway. That plus their shitty AD means that even when they fire JJ soon, it probably won't get much better.

In the past 20 years it is unacceptable that LSU basketball only has 1 Final Four, 1 Elite Eight and 3 conference titles.
Then again, Arkansas basketball in the past 20 years has 0 Final Fours, 0 Elite Eights and 0 conference titles.
Damn, I don't feel so bad now.

What sucks is that a shite ton of LSU fans don't even care. They would rather talk about baseball practice. Basketball is probably the third or fourth most popular sport here, so we won't attract a good up and coming coach. Maybe Stansbury will take the job.

But at least our schools are trying by hiring Pearl and Avery. LSU would still be stuck with Grant and probably even Barbee. Our real fans (ie not sidewalk wal mart fans) actually care about and support our basketball teams. Auburn built a new arena and Bama has renovated and there's talk of the new AD possibly replacing Coleman.
Our ADs have shown they want to improve the product.... LSU and Alleva seemingly don't give a shite that they have the worst coach in the conference and their program is going down the drain.
