I give zero fricks what you are trying to prove. Bama gets protected til the game is in hand, then the whistles begin to even things out.

I'd like to see first half penalties vs. second half penalties, broken down by offensive and defensive, and also situational penalties and their results (automatic first downs, replays, etc)

And it isn't even really close

The distance between #127 and #128 is 6.0 yards per game. The distance between #107 and #127 is 5.7 yards per game.

We are, by a large gap, dead last in opponents penalties against per game.

Total red herring. The strategic calls that really matter all go in Bama's favor.

If you look at all of the teams at the bottom in opponent penalty yards, they all throw a lot of short passes and rarely throw the ball downfield. An overwhelming majority of Alabama's pass attempts is under ten yards. It's hard to draw a lot of pass interference calls and penalties when you have such a conservative passing game.

You should jump right on that. I'm sure you will crack the case.

One could theorize that Alabama cheats so much more than everyone else that they get caught a lot more often than everyone else.

That's fine, but you also have to wonder how in the world the best sacking team in the SEC isn't getting holding calls left and right.

Good thing Tom Ritter doesn't do the playoffs. We'll actually get fair officiating

A lot of them also power run a lot - so that kind of negates the no holdings because no long passes theory.

#114 - LSU
#116 - Florida
#117 - Arkansas
#118 - Michigan
#120 - Georgia Tech
#121 - Michigan State
#122 - Iowa
#123 - Air Force
#125 - Navy
#126 - Wisconsin

What this shows me is that the SEC is calling a ton less penalties and that there is a clear shift in calling holding on run plays.

That would make sense if this was about Alabama committing penalties and not the penalties called against Alabama's opponents.

Come up with a new one hoss.

It's not how many, but when the calls are made. I'd like to see the stats of game changing calls against Bama.

Says the guy searching for reasons Bammer is still cheating with the refs after the stats prove they are literally dead last in getting help from the refs.
