Offensively:

I-Form
One Back (Most Pro Look)
Wing-T (Double wing, GTech)
Spread (Often using a tight end or H Back)
Spread No-Huddle

Defensively:

4-3
Over/Under front
3-4
4-2-5
3-3 Stack

IMO: I love watching Arkansas and LSU because I'm a big fan of taking the snap under center and pounding the rock. Arkansas more I form, LSU more of a one back set.

Defensively, Alabama's 3-4 defense is a work of art. A big 0 technique with two big 4 techs with two inside linebackers playing a 20. Then mix in the outside linebackers playing 9's (or Ghost 9's against a spread team). I believe the 3-4 defense is the best right now since majority of teams are running the spread and it allows teams to have more athletes on the field. I like the 4-2-5 my Vols run too.

How about you?

The Book of Malzahn was one of the most informative, interesting articles I've ever read. Gus is truly an offensive genius.

Honestly, I like any scheme. What I enjoy more is watching a team execute the game plan and scheme at a high level. That's what impresses me and I enjoy about College Football. Different schemes and different personnel, and watching who executed it the best.

You have these arse backwards.

I prefer power run with lots of speed and play action galore.

On defense I prefer 4-3 hybrid.

Like both of these, but...

Yeah the HUNH spread worked well for Alabama. All they had to do was throw it to Amari Cooper.

im all for watching good football.

the spread, 33 stack and variations of, came about to even the balance for teams that couldnt field equal talent, but its been cool to watch them progress and evolve over the years.

i played in the spread offense and a 60 defense in high school back in the early nineties, played rover/monsterman/etc in the 4-2 and coached the 33 stack, which often looked like a 50 or a 3-5 in small college ball.

its all a lot easier to see and appreciate in person, as televised games dont always give us the action at the los.

I always liked OU's power set they ran in short yardage situations with Blake Bell.

I like One Back because of what you can do with a TE or H-back in motion as a blocker or to draw defenders to one side on a counter.

The various forms of the spread are fun, even though I like defense more myself.

On defense 3-4, 4-2-5, and Mustang

Offensively, a ton to choose from. Defensively (being a homer) I like MSUs 4-3 (especially when the CBs make plays blitzing), but also like Bama & Stanford's 3-4

Sorry for making this MSB, but in regards to scheme, the 3-4 is more diverse than I had thought as I've followed levels of football.

The NFL, it gets really neat to follow the 3-4 because of variations. What the 9ers (now bears) ran under Vic Fangio was fun as hell to watch, the Pats under BB, and they're all pretty different. Dick LeBeau's 3-4 was neat as well.

We ran the 5-2-4 in highschool. Led the state in sacks one year.

Ah "The Dooley Package." We ran versions of that his entire tenure but the 4-4-5 was the best.
