Doesn't even matter, Bama is gonna win anyway. It's like UCONN women's basketball, a foregone conclusion at this point.

will be surprised if it comes out any other way

OH State is probably a better team, but Penn State won head to head and is Conference Champ

hard to see the committee denying them a spot

This. Penn State's head to head win over OSU plus the Big 10 title is more important than one extra loss IMO.

It will be

1. Alabama
2. Clemson
3. Washington
4. Ohio State

So, as in 2014, the semifinal will be the real championship.

Yep, Ohio State will get in again without deserving it. But the difference is, Bama won't lose this time.

Bama
OSU
Clemson
Washington

My argument was exactly the opposite. Had Penn St. and OSU both had equal records, I put Penn State in, but they chose not to make all else equal by losing twice.

But I wouldn't be surprised at
1. Bama
2. Clemson
3. OSU
4. PSU

Penn St. has 2 obstacles with getting picked:

1) 2 losses
2) Getting blown out by 39 points against Michigan

Selection show should be interesting.
