You think T. Herman's laughing inside 'cause he knows he waited for better jobs?

He had his pick of schools last year, and now it's gotten even better. That is, unless he plans on staying at Houston. Maybe Houston gets moved to a Power 5 conference soon and that's what drives him to stay? Stuff's gettin' juicy around here.

He's coaching a team that has a great chance for a playoff birth.

He is not following the LSU drama whatsoever right now

Who wouldnt love this

He is going to use LSU as nothing more than a bargaining chip to get to a better program

LSU will probably make him 2 million a year more than he would have gotten without their desperation

Name another program with a vacancy that has won 2 national titles in this century.

Chance. You never know what'll happen from now until the end of the season. Any smart man's going to think about any and every possible outcome and have a Plan B in place. You know if he listened to offers last year that he's most likely jumping ship soon with all these big vacancies. He listened to us for frick's sake.

Maybe he wins a national championship right where he is and gets an extension worth $5-6M a year to stay.

No one is thinking about that possibility, are they?

I wonder how many coaches LSU is going to get raises for.

Houston moving to Power 5 wouldn't be enough for him to stay with LSU and possibly ND and USC opening uo

If Houston continues to win, I can PROMISE you the LSU opening is not something he will concern himself with. It will be like Coach Miles and the Michigan opening years back. Coach Herman will have a chance to coach in the playoffs for a NC, he is not going to think about leaving

Sure, there is that possibility...but to be honest that's a big if. Even Tom Herman knows that Bama (and most likely others) isn't gonna let that happen. Say he has a good season but doesn't make playoffs. He then gets money out the wazoo from these other schools? That's another possibility that will probably sound much more appealing. If he wants a bigger name to sell to put together a winning program, he could do much better than Houston.

Houston is my city. I love Houston. I was born in Houston. I lived there most of my life. Houston kinda sucks. The University of Houston sucks realistically.

As I type Mrs. Tom Herman is on her laptop in the air conditioning checking out other cities and towns across America.

UH sports facilities compared to LSU's. I have never seen the Cougars facilities but I would imagine LSU is far superior.

Houstons competition for recruiting in state is UT, Baylor, TAMU, vs LSU which is the only major school in a state with lots of high profile recruits.

TAF will lay out the money. During the season his agent will be the person talking shop and get inputs from time to time from Herman.

I'm not sure LSU gets him but there will be conversations IF they haven't already taken place.

I'd be willing to bet a major university with multiple ties to oil tycoons has more money to throw around than LSU

LSU was good enough for your coach.

I would think he could look at Les record of winning 6 or 7 straight 10 win seasons and see the talent he can have here and believe he could do better.

Remember, LSU doesn't recruit against any other major school in the state. Unlike Texas and all those big schools.

But we'll see I assume.
