Alabama goes unbeaten again and wins their 87th national championship. Saban says he's had enough and retires. Bama boosters throw the bank at Tom Herman and get him. F Alexander says Louisiana did not have the money to fight for Tom and that we are stuck with Miles till the end of his contact.

There are multiple coaches that will be available that will be better than Miles. The question has often been asked: who would you get to replace Miles? It is clear to everyone now what knowledgable LSU fans have known from the UT loss in '05 (or maybe the Ole Miss debacle in '09, hell '15 OM for that matter, or maybe it was 1/9, or how about MSU '14.) Miles is in the bottom half of college coaches. He rode out the prestige Saban brought the program for 8 years and finally has landed at mediocrity, even thought the talent has increased in recent years.

Miles is a fine coach and should have his contract extended so he can recruit more talent....say a ten year deal?

LSU doesn't know a good thing when they see it. Les is a fantastic coach and LSU just needs to be patient with him. He won a natl title there for pete's sake.

Don't think many people want to live/coach in Baton Rouge. Jimbo turned them down and I doubt Herman would really consider them
