You have 2 options at this point.
1. Stick to your guns and continue to look like an idiot.
2. Admit you may have underrated Cal's coaching abilities and save a little dignity

He was the #43 recruit in the country. Draftexpress has him as the #50 pick after 4 years of development

This has to be a fricking joke right? Especially given how Kingsley was expected to make huge step forward and didn't this year

Kingsley, until tournament play, had really underwhelmed this year too.

If Arkansas considers a second rd draft pick for a top 50 recruit a successful 4 years of development.....

Well I know now why they fell off a cliff since Nolan left

If Cal developed them, doesn't matter who recruited them

Either way your Kingsley argument is dumb AF

Throw out Kingsley, who I just dismissively named, the argument still stands

He asks me to use lower end 5* and below players and I have to go back to Gillespie to pull those out because of how well Cal recruits.

cal has players on his roster who are not McDonald's All-Americans or elite recruits. Why do they never turn out to be any good? Is it because an elite talent developer can only "develop" talent that will be good regardless of coach? He professes that his goal is to help kids. He has said that if he were an NBA coach, his goal would be to get everyone max contracts. Why can't he maximize the draft status of college players?

You mean the walkons? What coach is putting walkons in the NBA?

Idiot.

I'm going to bed soon. Wake me up when a John Calipari recruit that is not of the Anthony Davis variety ends up on an NBA roster. You actually named Anthony Davis as a player developed by Calipari

Anthony Davis

Karl Anthony Towns owes all of his success to Calipari too

I didn't profess that my goal was to make every player great. I didn't say that I'm not an NBA coach because every player can't get a max contract

It's not just the walk ons either. We've been through this

Actually, he owes him a decent amount. He's been coaching him since he was 16 and playing on the Dominican National Team.

Lol, Couch Cal recruited and developed a player (Devin Booker) who scored 70 last night for the Phoenix Suns

What? Did you watch the game last night? Without Hawkins and Willis, the team loses that game last night. Oh, those 2 were not burger boys. So, you're saying Cal had no impact on their development?
