You Can't have it both ways (LSU)

You can't on one had say you have 18 starters back and you have the most talent in the league and on the other hand say Harris wasn't the problem, he didn't get any help.
These are the same guys. The only argument to be made that LSU is going to be marginally better is that Harris makes vast improvements.
This guy thew for 53.7 %, 13 TD 6 Int. Really 5 TD 5 INT in the games that acutally mattered. (UF, Bama, ARK, OM, A&M)
You can't argue that LSU is the favorite in the west unless you can make a damn good argument for improved QB play. A year of experience doesn't count.
What these stats say is that Harris was an above average QB when LSU was able to run the ball effective and Harris was able to throw against teams that put 7 guys in the box.
Teams that were able to contain LF7 were also able to shut down Harris because he had normal coverage by the defense because they didn't have to sell out to stop the run.
LSU's season is on Harris's shoulders. He has a lot to prove. If I were an LSU fan, I would be pretty nervous about the fact that my season rides on the arm of a QB that hasn't gotten in done multiple times before.

But Cam Cameron is going to be on the field now...obviously your logic is flawed

No QB has ever improved in his second year of starting in the SEC? Jesus y'all act like LSU failed to make a bowl last year lol.

Thanks for setting the rules on LSU football expectation arguments. What would we do without you????

Huh? Wut? So you are saying that we will only be marginally better if Harris makes vast improvements?

If Harris throws the same amount of passes as he did last year he only has to complete 1.5 more a game to be at 60 percent completion.
For the record go look at the jump Jarvis Landry and Odell made from their Sophomore to Junior seasons. That was a big reason why Mett had the senior year he had those guys were better. Getting 18 starters back is not a negative no matter how much you want to spin it.

Yeah I've never seen a young QB improve myself, just a rarity.

LSU is this years hype team, just let it roll. We will have plenty of off-season to let them have it with Tennessee probably having a good season this year.

Wow that is some incredible insight into the LSU program how did you come up with these theories on your own. LSU needs better QB play damn it why has Les not solved the riddle yet?

There is a lot more evidence that he won't solve it than there is that he will.

Except most QBs he's coached have shown improvement over time. Russell got better from Year 1 starting to Year 2. Jarrett Lee got better over time. Zach Mettenberger got better from Year 1 to Year 2 starting.
The only one who bucked the trend a little was Jordan Jefferson who was up and down.
