Coincidentally, that was also the last season Ole Miss won 10 regular season games.

It was a time I remember oh so well

I'm pretty sure Drew Richmond fell a lot last season.

I remember when Missouri's football team was destroyed by some fecal matter

Yep, that was the night they drove ol' Dixie down.

Little dingdong is permarolled up by Memphis offensive linemen going to VOLS

Richmond has been absolutely stellar. Tennessee's gotten a great return on their investment

He's going to be the starting left tackle as a sophomore lol. Like I said, OM fans are still reeling from his flipmas and it's a terrible look but not surprising imo

He is ok not worth what we paid though tbh.

What a mess. Mizzou, Tennessee and Ole Miss talking trash to each other.

We probably tried to pay him, but some Memphis Vols simply wanted him more
I'd still be kinda surprised if an offensive lineman from Memphis University School turns out to be worth a damn. The all-male schools in Memphis aren't exactly known for producing SEC caliber starters, especially compared to the other private schools in Memphis, much less the public ones. Ole Miss has had kickers and some backups out of MUS I guess, but it's not like the non-kickers were impact players (assuming a kicker can be an impact player), and otherwise I couldn't name a meaningful SEC starter to come from MUS

You sound bitter. What second rate private school did you go to?

Oh, no, I went to MUS, which is why I'd be surprised if an Owl ended up being worth a damn in big boy ball. It's a small country-club school with good academics, tuition higher than most SEC schools, and overachieving athletics. They've won a surprising amount of prep-league championships in the last decade, but the best players during those runs ended up being punters or backups if they made it to the P5.
Briarcrest and ECS have put All Americans in the SEC. The public schools always have guys contributing at major programs. MUS and CBHS, not as much. MUS is also tiny. If not for money, I'm not sure how they'd sustain a competitive program, especially now that Ensworth has a collegiate-level athletic budget and other prep schools can offer better financial aid with more proven track records of getting guys to the P5.
Bobby Alston is a damn good high school coach. His titles and his win at South Panola (one of three home losses they suffered in like a decade) are testament to that. His program sends kids to be special teamers at Vandy, linemen at Furman, or preferred walkons at public universities though. I wanna say Tom Hutton, former Vol punter who bounced around the NFL, is probably the most notable athlete to succeed in his post-MUS athletic career, at least in my lifetime. Other than I guess Richmond now, I don't know of any Owls who've started for a P5 program outside of special teams. Even while Richmond was committed to Ole Miss, people knocked him because MUSsies are pussies. It's a pampered school. I'd be surprised if he turned out to be worth a damn because he's soft. Michael Oher was kinda soft when he got to college too, but Richmond didn't exactly grow up in the same adversity Oher did. Not to mention, if the Vols hadn't outbid Ole Miss at the eleventh hour, Ole Miss wouldn't have been able to pay for Greg Little, so it could've gone worse after he flipped

Alston couldn't win shite until MUS started recruiting, beginning around 2004. I went to MUS as well
