4 time NFL MVP
4 time All - Pro
7 time Pro-Bowler

The guy was unreal. If he played in today's NFL he would have owned the record books.

It's time Y. A. gets his due. Best NFL QB to ever come out the SEC

Wellllll, one of the best.

You got Archie, Bart S, Peyton, Joe Willie, Bert J, Joe F, Eli,
Fran T, Conerly, Cam N., Stabler, Tebow, Wuerffel, Cutler, Manziel, etc.

manning could not take the pounding tittle or any of the qb's took back then. qb's today are protected little girls.

That is a good and valid point. All the stats of guys like Manning, Brady and Brees are staggering because they are protected by today's rules. It also allows them to have longer careers and hence more All-Pro years and Super Bowl chances. Manning, Brady and Brees wouldn't have lasted 8 years in our grand daddy's NFL. I agree with rules to protect the qbs, but you have to take that into account when comparing the career accomplishments of the different generations.

Also, remember that pass interference didn't exist back then. You could do whatever you wanted to a receiver.

He was damn sure the toughest.

yes, he was a great QB in the NFL; one of the best ever. I believe it impossible to accurately pick the "best" at any position. and comparing eras is also tricky.

have you ever seen Unitas play. how about Starr, Stabler and others. they were some great QB's and all tough as nails.

That's cute.

Manning would've died if he played when Tittle did.
