I don't see how you are in a position to compete for a title every 4 years but have bad years in between. Counter intuitive I believe is the way that would be described.

Depends. What is your definition of "compete for a title"?
I mean, if you are talking about compete for a title as in win 9-10 games, then that's one thing. if you mean, compete for a title by playing for the title, then who does that describe? I mean...you said perenially. Nobody that I know of plays for a title every 4 years.
Definition of perenially is:
in a way that continues for a long or apparently infinite time;
I mean Auburn won in 2010 and played for one in 2013, but I would call that an isolated incident, unless you know of another time they played for a title in a 4 year stretch. But lets not fool ourselves into thinking this is something that Auburn does on a regular basis.

There are a whole lot of Internet bad asses in this thread. Being shorty for three out of four years sucks. If the only thing all the UGA fans want is hatdware they should have seriously quit watching foot ball already. You guys don't have any

Its a tough call. I hate watching my Dawgs lose and I would hate watching them have a really crappy year. I want a Natty as much as anyone but if I had to choose, I would choose a winning season.
