Saban is afraid of him. That's all that matters.
Why would he be? The two years Freeze beat him he wom national championships. When he beats Freeze he loses the championship. They would take a loss to Ole Miss every year if it guaranteed a championship.

Good discussion minus a few nuckle heads. Preciate it.

I think you have to get rid of him and not because the points you say are wrong.
The problem is if he is the coach the NCAA is going to keep a very very close eye on Ole Miss for as long as he is there and if he does anything else wrong at all, they will not be kind at all.
If you keep him, you had better be 100% sure he is not going to do anything wrong ever again

my overall impression is that boosters have gone amok in paying top guys to sign. if Freeze wasn't in on that let him inherit the mess. as a caveat, I would make him sign a new contract cutting his pay.
The football staff coordinated it bro. Freeze himself brought a booster with him on a recruiting visit. I would have far more sympathy if it was just a case of a couple of rouge boosters.

I am not sure there is a scenario where you keep him. I also believe his value as head coach is over stated. When he had NFL talent...most suspect he got via cheating beyond the acceptable standards within CFB then he won some games, but nothing that mattered. Without that type of talent he doesn't seem like much of a coach.

Keep him but add somethings to his contract & no messing up for 3 seasons straight. Not even a teeny tiny cup of extra milk.

If he loses to a shite program like L6U, he needs to go.

Freeze didn't do much with that recruiting talent at the end of the day. I don't think most consider him a coach that folks should be scared of.
Freeze has accomplished more in five years at Ole Miss than Les Miles did at LSU during the same 5 years...which makes complete sense and renders my comment irrelevant, after reading the last sentence. No one was scared of Les Miles either.

Loses to LSU but beats the shite out of that overrated (ref helped) shite team by Bama.

Member when Saban hired Ole Miss recruiting coordinator and brought him to the Ole Miss game to tell the coaches the plays Ole Miss was running?
Member when Saban hired the Ole Miss coordinator?
I member.
Why does Saban keep hiring Ole Miss personnel to just stay even with Freeze?

Maybe Ole Miss is showing signs of keeping him because they haven't received an offer from the NCAA that they like. Scholarship reductions could cripple OM for a very long time and if I could trade Freeze for a lighter penalty, I'd do it.
It's difficult to judge his coaching ability because he tried to take the fast track to success and that's what got him in trouble. Did OM hire him because he had a track record of building programs around a coaching philosophy which produced consistent W's? Or did they hire him because he sold them on the idea of winning immediately by upgrading the roster? I look at a program like TCU and wonder if that coach would have had similar success at OM. He didn't build that program overnight and he hasn't had top tier recruiting classes.
