If your school had a HC opening would you fill it with Ed O? There is a growing population of our board that wants to hire him and I just wanted to judge the pulse of tRant on this issue.

I'd take him over Rodney Garner as a DL coach any day.

He's a clown. He can recruit the hell out of dumb 18 year olds because he's on their intellectual level

He would recruit like gang busters and stock pile the roster for the next coach. He is an elite recruiter and average D line coach. Not really head coach material.

He's a great recruiter, for reasons already stated, but he has a really iffy rep in some other areas.

Plus he hangs-out with a bad crowd.

I can't imagine a single job where I would want to say Ed O is our man.

Nope. He'd be good at a program like Southern Miss or ULL though.

He's a great asset as recruiter and a good DL coach.

Anything more than that I want him no where near.

He did a shitty job as Ole Miss HC and and an outstanding job as USC interim HC. You can't just grab one of those and run with it. They're both relevant.
