He's been a relatively good hire considering how awful we were when we hired him. If we were a 9 or 10 win team looking for a coach, then hell no I woudn't hire Butch.

I wouldn't hire him if he paid the school instead of the other way around.

Vols are getting hosed every two weeks when the put money in his account. It's staggering to think people like Jones or Miley Cyrus can make millions. Yeah, I just compared them.

I would not want him as the HC at UF , I think we could do better. But seems like he could be a poor mans Urban Meyer or a Steve Addazzio type coach , or even Les Miles like. He seems like he could recruit but need great coordinators to do well kinda like Miles and Meyer. I would prefer a Saban like coach who can run one side of the ball and doesn't need 2 great coordinators.

Yes, but I would only let him coach the first half.

Say you were in charge of hiring your school's next head coach. Would you consider hiring Butch Jones?

Take everything into account (recruiting, in-game coaching, his ability to put together a quality staff, etc), and assume money is not an issue.

This is mainly directed towards fans of the teams that are making coaching changes or considering it, but anyone can weigh in.

Do his bag men come with him?

With bags full?

It would of been a better discussion had you not added this.

Thanks for the replies. Volnation didn't like seeing this thread too much. Was deleted almost immediately.
