Would LSU fire Les midseason?

How many losses would it take for Les to get canned before the Alabama game?
Auburn?
Missouri?
Florida?
Ole Miss?
If LSU is 4-4 (2-3) going into November, would Les get the ax?
Asking for a friend.

I am guessing they will probably wait for some drop point in the contract to let him go.
They are too poor to sacrifice a couple of million.

Absolutely.
If we lose to Auburn we will probably fire him so we can start shopping for a coach before any other teams

No. His buyout drops significantly at the end of this calendar year. They may behind the scenes but he won't be fired before January 1st. We'd have to wait for our new coach, Herman, to finish his season anyways.

No, the man won a NC and has been a coach for a long time.
I have known a couple of coward coaches that quit in the middle of a season, but not sure I remember an SEC school firing a coach mid-season.

Actually if they lose Saturday, then fold, it would be wise to cut him loose early and start putting feelers out for his replacement.

No.
LSU doesn't fire coaches without cause anymore. At the end of the season he would be encouraged to pursue other, more appropriate endeavors.
...Then LSU would buy out the remainder of his contract.

Could they put him on an paid administrative leave until the date the buyout decreases?

LSU fired a coach mid-season, Gerry Dinardo. It was only prior to the final game of the season, but it was still before the season ended

IF Les is fired - and I am becoming increasingly confident that won't happen this year - it would be upon the conclusion of the final regular season game, before the bowl.

How many times do I have to post this.
Les Miles will be let go, fired, told to hit the road, kicked in the teeth and thrown in the Mississippi on
(January 1st in the year 2017)
holy hell some needs to pin this ...

They can relieve him of his coaching duties at any point and not officially fire until after this year and avoid that issue.
If he loses two of the next three (depending on how they lose and how they look), he will be relieved of his duties...period.

Traditionally, LSU fires coaches prior to the last game of the season. The strategy is that it gives LSU the first shot at a new coaches.

Les will not be fired (if he is fired) until November 25th.
The only possible scenario where I think it is even remotely possible we fire him mid-season is if we lose to:
Auburn
Florida
Ole MIss
Bama
Arkansas (Fire after this one)
Bonus if LSU loses to Southern Miss and Missouri...

No!!! A coaching change is one thing, "run him out of town" as some idiots say is classless. He deserves to have things play out.
