Think of all the great players Saban has coached in college. Would his college all star team compete in the NFL?

As college players or a few years later as average NFL-aged players?

All they need is a QB. AJ looked like shite in the preseason, but it's not like the Jets have a QB either.

QB: AJ
RB: Ingram, Henry, Lacy, Yeldon
FB: Fowler
WR: Julio, Amari, Stewart
TE: OJ Howard
LT: Whitworth
LG: Carpenter/Warmack
C: Ryan Kelly
RG: DJ Fluker
RT: Cam Robinson

Defense is legit though

DE: Allen, Upshaw
DT: Dareus, Kyle Williams, Dial, Robinson, Reed
LB: Hightower, Moseley, Barron, Foster, Ragland, Anderson
S: Collins, Clinton-Dix
CB: Kirkpatrick, Jackson, Jones, Humphrey

Are there any LSU guys still in the league? Whitworth, Williams?

If you took the best 22 Alabama players in the league and had them play the Jets? Yes they would win.

No they wouldn't.

No quarterback

Almost every Saban offensive lineman has been a bust in the NFL

Why would you limit it to Bama players? You'd include LSU and MSU too.

LSU and MSU had some great players under Saban.

Could Matt Flynn be the quarterback since Saban recruited him and he was on Saban's team for 3 years?

He didn't play under him per se, but I think he should count.

He's not great, but could probably beat the Jets with a superior team around him.

I'm not sure either team would score very much. Questionable QB and OLine going up against a really good DLine would be the case for both

But AJ would be throwing to way better receivers than what the jets have

SO in their NFL primes:

Offense:

QB: this is a problem.
Rohan Davey
Matt Mauck
AJ McCarron
- all career backups in the NFL

RB:

Domanick Davis
Eddie Lacey
Joseph Addai maybe

WR:

Julio Jones
Michael Clayton
Amari Cooper
Plaxico Burress
(could also give him Dwayne Bowe)

TE:
Robert Royal - 8 year NFL career

OL:
Andrew Whitworth
DJ Fulker
James Carpenter
Ryan Kelly
Cam Robinson?

Defense:

DB:
Corey Webster
Laron Landry
Landon Collins
Dre Kirpatrick?

LB
Bradie James
Dont'a Hightower
CJ Mosely

DL
Marcus Spears
Marcel Dareus
Kyle Williams
Jarvis Green?

Conclusion
OL is going to be weak. Andrew Whitworth has multiple all pros and pro bowl appearances, but the rest of Saban's guys have largely been busts. RB is strong enough. Davis had a 1200 yard season with 600 receiving yards in Houston before an ACL ended his career. Lacy was great his first two seasons and would be a good compliment to Davis, as Lacy is a bruiser and Davis was a guy that made you miss. QB would kill the team, though. Saban has never had a great QB in the NFL. WR would be extremely strong as would the defense outside maybe DBs being a little weak.

This is so stupid. Very few of those players would start for the Jet right now. Julio and Amari would and maybe one olineman. 1 to 3 of those defensive players would.

So the question is would a bunch of 2nd and 3rd stringers with a handful of starters beat an entire starting NFL unit.
