1960 Sugar Bowl #2 Ole Miss vs. #3 LSU: 21-0

LSU was held to 74 yards of total offense, including –15 rushing yards, and held the infamous Billy Cannon to 8 total yards in the season rematch.

This one is a strong candidate because it is total domination and humiliation of a great historic and iconic SEC team by another that featured Billy Cannon for LSU, their Heisman winner who won the award that season, getting owned by the Rebel defense.

Edited to add: Sports trivia. Billy Canon was born in Philedelphia, MS but was raised in BR and committed to LSU over Fla and Ole Miss.

Yet in true Ole Miss perception, Only EVERYONE remembers 7-3 and Billy Cannon's PR.

It would be tough to top. This is a participation ribbon, juice boxes and orange slices moment for Auburn baseball.

From '58' to '62 Ole Miss and LSU were like OU and Neb of the early 70s, FSU and U of the 90s, and tOSU and Mich.

for each normal score, if you have a decent kicker, in Football... 7 points.

IN baseball 1 point....

12* 7 is 84....

Heck, with a bama kicker it is still... 72....

But lets just go with an average of 5 points per score...
60.... awww heck... Fine...

4.5 pts a score... 54 pts.. against, Zilch, Nada, Zippo, Zero....

hmmm...

All of you Tigahs just got too drunk in NOLA to remember the game. We are a bunch of drunks as well though so maybe we forgot too.

Kentucky beat a derek dooley lead tennessee team, that hadnt lost in like 34 straight games with a wide receiver playing qb. I dont mean like he had made the conversion a few weeks before or this guy was some all american qb out of high school, i literally think it was a gametime decision and he beat dooley. It was the most embarassing moment of my time as a Tennessee fan. That naybe the worst performanxe in sec history

Can there be a 2 worst performances in one game? If so, I can remember a game that State held an opponent to a fg and still lost.

There are a few Richt no show games that could be in this discussion.

Also UGA vs Ole Miss last year. Ole Miss could have won that game 73-0 if they felt like it.

I remember a South Carolina home football game (~ 1988) whereby the Cocks (7-0 at the time and ranked in the Top Ten) were annihilated by Florida State 59-0! That must be the worst loss ever by a team currently in the SEC.

How about being eliminated by the same team that got run ruled and shut out?

You weren't in the SEC yet, but you were on a national stage, and on ESPN, with a chance to prove something and instead delivered a brutal performance
