I'm talking, a bonafide abortion and embarrassment to the game of football?

I wouldn't call a defensive struggle game an abortion - croom and tubervile had some stout defenses just terrible offenses. when a power 5 team gets dominated by a non power 5 school such a Louisiana Monroe that's an abortion.

3-2 was the worst but the Auburn Tennessee game the following week wasn't much better

GTFO!!! Defense is part of the game. 16 of the 22 defensive starters in that game weree drafted - 12 of them were taken in the first 3 rounds and 9 were 1st round draft choices. 4 more defensive players who saw action were 1st round picks.
Alabama and LSU finished the season 1-2 in the nation in total defense. Bama finished the season ranked #31 in total offense while LSU was 86th. The game was hyped because of the defenses and it lived up to the hype.

LSU-UT when Dooley sent 17 players out to block a FG was the ugliest SEC matchup I think I remember going to in Tiger Stadium.
Both teams just wanted to lose that game.

It wasn't technically an SEC game, but Alabama-FSU in 2007 was one of the worst football games I've ever watched in person.

That one too. One of those timely Wilson fumbles deep in our own territory.

I was at the UT game. Fans of both schools were arguing that their own team sucks more than the other.
