With all the speculation on coaching changes I figured it would be healthy to poll tRant to determine which coaches in the SEC are regarded as the worst and under performing. List your top four:

1. Jim McElwain UF

2. Butch Jones Tennessee

3. Kevin Sumlin A&M

4. Barry Odom Missouri or Coach Orgeron LSU

Has to be Odom. You're a defensive cord taking over a defense that was highly rated. The players leaving shouldn't of have that kind of impact.

WTF happened?

Why put Coach O in yet if he's been successful so far at LSU?. Yeah he was bad at Ole Miss but even Freeze is having problems with them.
Dont rank a coach if he hasn't played a season at his team yet.

He changed the defensive scheme this year and it clearly didn't go well. In fact I think he tried to change it again the Kentucky week. He had trouble with injuries and I think its evident there were some problems with kids buying in to the system. I have no idea if he's a good coach or not but clearly this season was not a good indicator.

That is a very good point. I am glad you honed in on that.
Conversely, I had your boy Stoops as one of my top OVER achieving coaches in the SEC this year. I was happy to see Kentucky end the regular season on such a high note. Congrats.

Ya, I know. He went from a 4-3 to a 4-2-5 defense, but why?

He was their D cord last year when they were so successful.

Why would you do that?

Fair point.
I just see Coach O stepping into the position and instantly being on the hot seat. After an analysis of LSU's schedule next season, I estimate Coach O having 5 losses. Which will likely start the entire coach search process again. If Joe Alleva is still leading the search, I wouldn't expect successful results.

I suppose Gators are big fans of Coach O. That is ONE team yall were capable of beating from the West. Do you care to have a substantive contribution to this topic?

No clue. Maybe he thought it better suited the personnel. I'm just pulling stuff from memory I read before the Kentucky game this year. I'm sure a Tigers fan could explain it better.

I, admittedly, am jumping the gun with Coach O but look at their schedule next season. He will lose 5 games. We will see, if I am wrong bring on the crow.

McElwain is on his way to an 8-5 season this year, and lucked into a 10-4 season last year. I have seen nothing from McElwain that suggests he has turned the program around. UF is flirting with a 5-7 season next year unless offensive changes are made. For a coach that came in touting that his dog could play QB and win, I'm unimpressed. Ending a SEC EAST Championship season with 3 consecutive blow out losses may open some folks eyes.

Any five in particular will beat LSU? Or is just based on overall schedule?

5-2. Held Bama to 10 points. One yard short of beating Florida, in a game where we statistically dominated. Not only beat the other teams we were supposed to, but did so soundly.

Next year's schedule:
BYU(in Houston)-W
Chattanooga-W
@Mississippi St.-W
Syracuse-W
Troy-W
@Florida-?
Auburn-?
@Ole Miss-?
@Alabama-L
Arkansas-W
@Tennessee-W
Texas A&M-W

Our offense will be at least as good as is was this year. Our defense will loose key players, but really good players will be stepping up. Will likely not be much drop off overall. Our ST WILL be improved now that Peveto is gone. Where do you see 5 losses? We should be 5-0 heading into Florida. I see us winning at least one of the 3 "?" games. So winning 9 or 10 games. The difference, before you ask, between Miles and O, is that O will be trying to win while Miles was trying not to lose on offense.
