I could see an improving Kentucky team competing for a trip to Atlanta soon.

Could happen as shitty as the East is.

I don't think the east is floundering for the foreseeable future..

Another Bama dickrider lecturing the east lol.

Not if we have anything to say about it which we don't

East will be bad until better coaches are hired

Me either. I see the opposite happening. Well, for us and Georgia specifically I see things drastically improving over the next two years especially.

I agree. Its not like anyone in the west outside of Bama is any better. East teams beat LSU and AU and that's the best the west had to offer other than Bama.

Bama/Saban is sucking all of the air (and recruits) out of the southeast and I don't see this changing for at least a few more years. Stoops recruits Ohio which may insulate him somewhat from this fact.

This was a banner year for Kentucky football and they barely got to 7 wins.

Until Kentucky ever learns that a win over Florida is paramount to win the East, give it up.
I'm not sure who Kentucky players can ask for advice, since even the faculty at UK probably wasn't on campus the last time Kentucky beat Florida.

7-5 won't win the East. You must beat Florida and win atleast 8 (being generous here) regular season games. Kentucky has done neither since the mid 80s.
If you don't beat Florida, they will slide and slither their way to another east title.

I remember, lol. It was a freezing cold November day in 1986 and Jerry Claiborne stuffed favored Florida's offense 10-3

The road to the SEC east title goes thru Jax.

Someone else got a better streak than 30?
Posted on 1/5/17 at 8:53 pm to Dawgfanman
Or the team that beat both of the teams in Jax

Meanwhile Georgia has the nation's #2 recruiting class and a first round draft pick at quarterback.

It would help if you could break .500 in conference.

Yeah, but they have Ray Goff (or is it Jim Donna/Mark Richt or someone else) as their coach and so no level of success at recruiting will bring a championship

I like Mark Stoops and I root for Kentucky until they play the dawgs but they need a better QB and WR's. I'm not sure about the D. They are definitely getting closer though.
