They won't let me post on the Tiger Rant for some reason so I thought I would put this here. Everyone seems to discount LF after the Bama game and I still am of the opinion that he is the best RB in college football. I think if he and Henry switched team that night he would have been the one with over 200 yds.

I did a little research and found this.

Bo Jackson won the Heismen in 1985 and lost the Iron Bowl. They did only lose by a last minute field goal but they still lost. Not only that but they also lost to Tennessee, Florida and then lost their Bowl game to Texas A&M.

So Bo won the Heismen on an Auburn team that lost 3 regular season games so why is LF dropping because of one bad game. He still has a great season and a ton of yards and he actually didn't get to play a game that would have added at least 200 more yards to his stats.

Just my opinion.

Yeah but they've come up with a list of unwritten bullshite criteria. He could run for 1,000 yards on Saturday and they may not give it to him

He still leads the nation in rushing. As long as he doesn't disappear the rest of the year and LSU wins out he'll probably win it.

Did Bo perform poorly in those games?

It's an individual award. Tebow won it when they went 8-4. But he didn't have a stinker like that.

I don't understand it either. Yes, LF had an awful game and he looked like a middle schooler amongst NFL all pros. However, before the game everyone in the media had considered him the next Hershel or Bo. Now all of a sudden he has one terrible game and he's the 3rd or 4th best player in the country. Anyone who watched the game could see that LF never had a chance. Bama's DL absolutely destroyed our OL.

Just as people were pontificating his auto Heisman entitlement if he ran all over Alabama, the opposite must be true as well. He deserves consideration, but there are others that definitely can finally get their shine thanks to a real defense from BAMA.

With respect, that's a really fricking awful game. I think people are reassessing their bo and Herschel comparisons, fair or not.

He still will probably win it but he got a huge helping hand from Oklahoma State picking Boykin off 4 times

He was hit at or behind the line of scrimmage on 13 of the 19 carries. Credit Bama D Line but don't see how that means LF played poorly.

Exactly why bringing up the team losing is stupid. If a bad game doesn't hurt a candidate in one season, it won't in another, regardless of who won or lost.
