You honestly think the NCAA will mitigate with quite possible the worst still being investigated?

I thought it was 3 or 4 under Freeze and not 2 like you said.

Yes. For one, no one knows what will come of the new stuff on Tunsil. You don't know anything about it so how can you say it's the 'worst'? It could be something. Could be nothing. I'll post the quick rundown for you but you can see that only two involve our current coaches. Several others occurred during the freeze tenure but do not involve coaches at all. The worst thing regarding our staff is that Miller got room and board on a recruiting trip.

They were all your staff. Let's not act like it doesn't matter.

I'm doubtful that the multiple allegations against Harris will be magically moved down to level 2 status. Harris said he didn't know about the boosters and the NCAA didn't believe him. Arguing, "no, believe him" isn't an argument that I'd project as a winner. That's arguing that the NCAA has their facts wrong.

At least they are arguing more about legal semantics when it comes to Tunsil (FTM) and Saunder's (they provide exhaustive examples where penalties were less than ULL and differentiated themselves from ULL's situation)

Clearly they have accepted some of those as inevitable. Even if they think there are logical excuses. There is a reason they penalized themselves as stiffly as they did. There is no getting around the issue that involves Harris. It wasn't some sinister deed but as soon as we took Herbert Moore that issues technicalities became difficult for us.

They are going to drop the hammer on the Black Bears. Mark my words.

I agree that the NCAA has no bite, but 2 things make me wonder about this instance.

First, getting caught is almost always due to the disgruntled player or in this case, family member. Tunsil being allowed to finish the season does not bode well for OM here.

He undoubtedly cut some sort of a deal.

But, secondly, and probably more importantly, OM skirting the line enough to upset the LSU and Auburn's of the world is one thing. Beating Bama back to back is another.

shite done got real.

And since OM isn't a cash cow, that could be the very reason they drop the hammer on them.

I agree they will be careful with it, but that was a pretty different situation. They can look through and use public records including civil depositions. Where they went wrong with that one was the fact that they put one of the people asking questions up to asking information that related only to the NCAA rules and had little to nothing to do with the case in question. Basically they abused the justice system's power to force answers for unrelated information that they could use against the school.

It seems unlikely that the prosecuting attorney will be able to get Freeze to leak any wrongdoing that directly relates to the Miller/Tunsil case anyway. The point of having him there is to name who told him that Miller was beating his wife. He wasn't present so he can't answer anything pertaining to the agents beyond "I have no knowledge of that except what I have read." Really Freeze should have avoided this whole situation but he was the idiot that goes to national media to say how he is proud of Tunsil protecting his Mama.
