Not surprising.

It is actually. I have never predicted Bama to lose its first game.

cause nobody ever improves from their true freshman season, especially not guys with elite physical tools

Bama - will get burned with a deep play action pass.

Wisky - Their QB will get rattled and panic.

Wisky - will give up deep passes.

You're contradicting yourself with these points. Particularly the second set, if Wiscy is giving up deep passes, as in multiple, then the Bama QB won't be struggling enough to frustrate the fans.

Don't be so butt hurt. It's just a prediction that holds no water like all the other predictions.

Certainly possible, but I think Wisky's strengths play way too much into Alabama's hands. I just don't see them scoring enough against our D, and I honestly don't think they'll be able to hold up against our run game.

Joel Stave. Has sucked but also shown signs he could be good with the right coach and Chryst is a QB guru. They got a nice wide out too nobody's talking about in Reggie Love. They'll struggle to make any stops on defense though.

You must be new to the game of football.

I'm not talking about 5 or 20 deep passes given up. I'm talking more about two big deep passes given up since that is what Wisky is known to do on offense.

Wisky's QB is bound to have a terrible game against the athletes that Bama will have on the football field.

This isn't Ohio State playing Alabama.

The biggest reason why I don't predict a bigger blowout is you have to account for first game of the season mistakes - formations, subs, penalties, total playbooks being used (not used), timing between players, lack of developed depth at the time, etc.

I just pointed out your complete contradiction in two of your posts. I'm sorry you were too dumb to realize you'd done it.

brandon harris's physical tools are somewhat above average for a power 5 qb. not elite.

Yep, you are new to the game of football.

Let me teach you how this is done.

QB goes 7 for 28. Throws two deep passes for big yards...say 150 yards.

Total stat line: 7-28, 190 yards, 1 touchdown.

Not a good game. Still fits the deep pass given up.

I think I know what your problem is. You are new to the game and think good QB play is LSU level of QB play.

Well, saying Tony Connor has "elite physical tools", outside of his speed, seems to be quite the stretch as well.

A CB with elite physical tools, even as a freshman, doesn't get abused the way he did last year. They will get beat, but not embarrassed.

I took it as he meant those are each team's tendencies, not that all of them would happen.

But he went in a different direction

Bama: 37
Wisky: 16

Coker starts throws 2 picks in 1st half and is replaced by another qb.

If Coker throws 2 picks, Bama definitely isn't winning by 21.

If both QB's play like crap, then it will be a crappy opening game of quality football.

All Bama has to do is get in the head of the Wisky QB and he will crumble and fumble, throw interceptions, throw early passes that lead to incompletions, or run for his life.

If Wisky is able to get to the QB by blitzing their linebackers, then Bama will need to throw behind the linebackers.
