As a fan of a conference member not involved in either game, that's who I'm rooting for to ensure we have a spot in the playoff. (The winner of 11-1 Alabama vs. 11-1 Florida will be in.) I don't think a 2-loss Bama, Ole Miss or Florida team gets in, though.

I don't think Florida gets in if they win. They have looked too shitty lately and before Florida fans say "12-1 is 12-1" it isn't. Overtime against FAU does not a playoff team make.

I think you would see a one loss notre dame, oklahoma, michigan state, and ohio state get in before Florida. In addition to undefeated Clemson.

The committee does still hold the SEC in high regard, so it is possible. It has just been an extremely underwhelming one loss season when you look at body of work.

ETA: I suppose if they handle FSU and Alabama, they would be in. I take it back.

I don't think they'll win out, but if they do, a 12-1 SEC champion with wins over Florida State and an 11-1 Alabama team to close out the season -- and whose sole loss was by 7 points on the road in a game played right after its starting QB was declared ineligible -- will most definitely be in the playoff.

We are going to be lucky to field a DL and OL against FSU due to the injury bug striking again.

I don't see how we can beat FSU being so banged up especially for our already suspect OL.

In that scenario, somebody's getting left out and it won't be a 12-1 Oklahoma or Notre Dame and a 13-0 Iowa.

In that scenario, assuming all else plays out as you suggest, you'd have Clemson, Iowa, Florida and either Oklahoma or Notre Dame. No way they both get in over a 12-1 SEC Champ possessing wins over Bama, Ole Miss and Florida State.

But wins over Fsucks and Bama would make everyone forget those shitty wins.
A one loss SEC team will not be left out no matter how ugly they look.

Oklahoma or ND will miss the playoff in that scenario. Neither one play a conference championship game.

I'm not totally sure Florida gets in. I think its gonna be
(saying if Alabama loses somewhere) and these teams hold serve.

Clemson
Big 10 champ
Notre Dame
OU

I almost think it would take two of the above to lose for Florida to get a nod and its possible with 3 of the 4 and even then they might put tOSU back in depending on Big 10 shaking out.

LOL at Florida dropping to 12th. They ain't getting in from 12 unless they get a whole bunch of help. They will get a bump from beating FSU and Bama but so will all the other teams ahead of them if they win out.

Well 3 teams ahead of florida are going to lose this week. That puts them at nine. You would think by beating fsu and bama they leapfrog everyone to number 4 in the last ranking. Oklahoma went from 7 to 3 by beating a very mediocre tcu right now

Florida will definitely be in if they win out and bama somehow pulls it out against AU.

I would put Notre Dame in the top 4 over Florida. I don't think much of Florida at all. They would lose handily to Clemson or Oklahoma in a playoff game.

Right now ya. But if they Beat fsu and bama you might not have that same thought.

Florida is not automatically in if they win out

It is amazing to say but its true

Notre Dame, Ohio State, Baylor will get in before Florida if there is some level of chaos.

Florida needs big help. Committee fooked them this week

Let's go through the teams

Ohio state- if out of the conference championship game no way. In the conference championship game they the winner goes anyway which already has a playoff spot.

Notre dame- season ends today only playing 12 games. Even if they beat Stanford their resume won't even compare to florida. Plus they moved Oklahoma ahead of them this week after beating a injury riddled tcu team.

Baylor- they would have to claimed big 12 champs which would knock Oklahoma out of the picture.

Nice try.
