Will Vols 'rock' the speakers with Third-Down-For-What gone?

Is it okay to post something that makes sense?

Well, now, what’s next?
Confirming what 247Sports reported two weeks ago, fourth-year Tennessee coach Butch Jones reiterated on Monday that his ninth-ranked Vols will not utilize the mercurial “Third Down For What” Lil Jon rap song this season on third-down plays inside Neyland Stadium.
“We’re going to do some things a little bit differently on third down. We’ll mix up some different songs, so we won’t have 'Third Down For What,' but we’ll have some different songs to get our crowd energized,” Jones said. “And obviously we have the ‘Pride of the Southland’ (marching) band as well. We have to make Neyland Stadium, continue to make Neyland Stadium a home-field advantage for us and situational football comes into play. Especially on third down, and I think that’s really helped us with our third-down defense in the past as well.”

So what’s next? Sources on campus indicate they expect Tennessee to get the aforementioned Pride of the Southland Marching Band vastly more involved on game days, especially on third downs. They’re expected to debut the classic Led Zeppelin song, “Kashmir,” during Thursday’s opening game against visiting Appalachian State.
Tennessee was second in the nation last year in third-down conversion defense, allowing foes to convert just 27.6 percent of their opportunities. However, the Vols struggled on fourth downs and in late-game situations, huge factors contributing to Jones’ hiring of nationally regarded coordinator Bob Shoop.
Ever the showman, Jones emphasizes Tennessee’s need to make Neyland Stadium a hostile venue for visitors --- and an enjoyable experience for the Vols’ fans who fill the venerable venue."

That word mercurial -- I do not think it means what you think it means.

Not so venerable anymore with artificial music.

Glad to see it gone. Now if we can only get the cocks to stop playing Sandstorm incessantly.

Word is, they're going to go with Rocky Top on third down.
Hey, it's different from Third-Down-For-What.

Sandstorm and Turn Down for What are played at virtually EVERY collegiate venue. Where this notion they are some exclusive Tennessee and Carolina tradition derived I have no idea.... they are not the only schools that use them by a country mile.

We never claimed that we do it exclusively or that we were first.
We just do it better. Like how other teams play Enter Sandman or Jump Around, but the first teams you think of when you hear that are VT and Wiscy
