Risky, but he would dominate there.

Yes, but only when he's not looking their way, they don't want to appear to needy and desperate.

Only if they're looking to burn their program down.

For his part, Petrino said that Louisville "is where I want to finish my career."

Petrino also said there is a $10 million buyout in his contract, so maybe he is serious when he says he wants to finish his career at the school.

They will probably look at him like "what the frick are you doing in Gainesville". Assuming he gets off the jet in the hangar.

If he wants out of the buyout he only has to go on a motorcycle ride with a chick.

The head of ISIS will be on Dancing With The Stars before they hire Petrino.

Judging by how much national sports writers hate Petrino, it would be a disaster for Florida to even consider him.

Nope. Because Florida doesn't have to be that desperate. A ton of other options without all that baggage.

Let me say this... Petrino would win, and win fairly big, for the first season or so. A top notch defense and some underused offensive talent. Then Florida would, very likely, see what happens when you leave Petrino in power too long. Your defense doesn't just get bad, it withers away.

The man got offended that defensive players actually... you know... tried in practice. He will get you a ton of QBs. Some of them will be good. He will get a ton of WRs. Some will be good.

Every other position on the field you best hope they were a Fighting Florida Gator from the day they popped out of the womb.

really? dominate? how in the world did you conclude this? he's an offense minded coach who just doesn't get it when it comes to defense. like sumlin. like muschamp in reverse.

I hope, for Florida's sake they don't hire that scumbag.

They honestly couldn't afford him. I mean that in terms of paying that buyout and in image.

But if they did decide to throw the money at it and risk the ridicule, he would have some scary good teams there. I don't want to imagine Florida speed and talent in that style of offense.

I'm guessing they will look at whoever the current coach is at Arkansas State given the track record.

If you want him, Gators, just ask auburn if you can borrow their university plane and fly one of your trustees to Louisville. He'll listen.
