The last non big 6 team to win a SEC Championship was Ole Miss in 1963. 52 years ago If you had to pick one of the bottom 8 to break the streak and win the SEC championship this year which one would it be? I would go with Ole Miss.

I'm sure some might not know

Big 6

Auburn
UGA
Florida
Tennessee
LSU
Bama

Bottom 8

Miss State
Ole Miss
Missouri
South Carolina
Vanderbilt
Kentucky
Texas A&M
Arkansas

A&M or Ole Miss are the only possible answers.

Wrong!!!

After State was forced to forfeit to KentuckY, they got a retro co-Championship.

What in the actual frick are you talking about? And Ole Miss? Last year they had a way better shot than this year so what are your reasons as to why Ole Miss will be better this year??

Probably more reasons than "Harris is a year older".

I agree with you... Why is everyone so scared?

Season starts in under 2 weeks. I'm excited.

I disagree, no one we play has a decent QB except maybe A&M. FSU, Bama and Georgia could all be playing Freshman QB's.

1963 was the 6th SEC title for Ole Miss. Auburn had won 1 at that point (and in fact only won 1 in the first 50 years of the SEC). So, until the 80s, Ole Miss was in the big 6, and Auburn was the also-ran.

No. I have a very very hard time seeing the SEC Champion being someone other than LSU, Alabama, Tennessee. All trolling aside, Texas A&M would probably have the best chance because they have a great D-Line and some great receivers. It will depend upon Knight and their secondary

Even all split titles since 1963 have been all Big 6.

Kentucky was like retroactively granted a share of 1976 several years later due to an MSU forfeit win but that hardly counts.

However it kind of is a wash because in 1977 they would have legitimately won a share if not for probation saying they couldn't.
