Will the SEC adapt?

We will have to or the SEC will go down hill.


1- The short term... teams that would dominate in other conferences will be left out

2- In short term.. SEC teams will have to go through top teams to reach a play off that has the top 4. Example... MSU in the first year of the playoffs will have had to beat 5 top 10 teams to only go face another top team in the SECCG...Usually ranked. When that's done.... face 2 of the top 4 teams in the nation.

3- In the short term, it helps weak conferences. They have to get up for one game.... maybe 2... at most 3.


LONG TERM!!!!

The SEC will lose talent. Player will realize that going to conferences that only have to get up for a couple of games, and not take the beating = easier path to National title without the wear on his body... then NFL.



Solution(s)....

1- Sec Will need to shift the conference. Look at dividing the conference in to North, South, East, and West. That would level the SEC to the ACC, Pac schedule strength. We have 12 teams, each division gets 4. Those 2 games are not to be made up with games VS other SEC teams, but games from other conferences.

2- Keep the East and West, just eliminate 2 sec games within the divisions. Each team plays 4 of the 6 teams in their divisions and 2 from the other.

3- Then the the NCAA will need to add more team to the play off system.
