ok clown tard, you just claimed that something called "southern U", uLM and georgy south are somehow a monster schedule compared to SEMO, Arky St and UCONN, that's laughable on it's face, unless you're wearing clown shoes and a nose and hair to match, which you are.

GaT and BYU,, pretty much wash.. neither is special, even though GAT has a tendency to kick your arse anyway..

dam you're dumb.

I have no official comment on how good Georgia Southern is

Oh, and to say Georgia Tech is a joke, is a joke. Longest active bowl streak, and a NC more recent than most SEC schools.

Georgia Southern would beat UCONN by 30.

Southern, ULM vs. SEMO, Arky St is about a wash.

GT is better than BYU, and we play them on the road.

I hate them for making this a pissing match over OOC games when it could be about a 9 game slate.

when you schedule 3 cupcakes and then make this statement:

Blame your own ADs for your shite schedules.

you're obviously not playing with a full deck, I apologize to the board for picking on a clearly mentally handicapped poster like "cro"..

Perhaps the biggest move of the weekend, besides the B1G no longer playing FCS schools...is that they are moving to a 9 league game schedule. Is this a hint at more realignment? Or simply a move to bolster SOS?

It's all about bolstering the SOS and getting more eyes on TV's. The Big Ten will be the last major TV contract negotiated for a while and Delaney wants maximize that contract.

"Delany said the Big Ten's future scheduling format is not just about setting up its teams better for playoff selection. Better opponents help draw more fans to stadiums and to television sets."

Little known FYI - the Big Ten announced the move to 9 league games in 2013. The cross-division games are supposed to be "parity" based moving forward so that there are more marquee match ups between the better teams in each division. We'll see if that works.

This gets discussed regularly. I am for a 9 game SEC schedule b/c it would let us keep the permanent rivals and cycle through the teams in the other division more quickly.

As for the imbalance, could they do it where all of the teams in one division had 4 home and 5 away one year, while all the teams in the other did 5 home and 4 away?

Getting back on topic. The SEC needs to go to 9 conference games or kill off the rivalries that are only allowing us 1 rotating opposite division opponent.

Teams will play OOC teams more often than SEC teams from the other division. That just seems wrong.

Is it a requirement that we have a daily thread on this?

I agree. Strength of schedule is important to determining the college football playoff. How is the rest of the country going to know how good the SEC is if we aren't still playing a bunch of quality OOC games (I know OM plays no one this year but we did have Clemson scheduled before they backed out)? This nine game schedule is favored by the rest of the country because they want to turn college football into the NFL where conference winners play each other. A one loss SEC team should be able to jump a undefeated team from another conference w/ weaker schedule.

I remember reading about that when it came out & am STILL lost how they think "parity scheduling" is going to help out. I thought they were doing 9 to rotate through the divisions better.
