Will Roper ruin Muschamps last chance at being a head coach?

Roper is god awful at play calling, hard to watch. Did they grow up together? Are they best friends? Wtf does Muschamp want this guy so bad, he is garbage.
This is clearly Muschamps last shot at a D1 level school and this is the best oc he can get?

Nah, he's got a leash at SC. If he needs to hire a new OC next year he'll be given time.

we kind of warned you about Roper
Notice Qb's for UF are playing on Sunday's now?
Seems talent wasn't the issue at UF.
So....kind of only one thing to blame.

LOL. It's funny how things work out. Fans of a Will Muschamp coached team are blaming the OC for their shitty offense. How many different OC's does he have to have and still be shitty before people understand he's just not that good of a D1 head football coach?

Has sharkboy had an offense better than 110th in the country?

Nice pivot. Doesn't mean I'm wrong.
Do you see Florida fans on here defending him?
Cause I don't.

Muschamp should be fired based on the simple fact he hired Roper a 2nd time...
Boom is clueless when it comes to offense.

Fact is. Muschamp is the problem with the offense.
We blamed multiple OC's, wasn't the truth.
Even Drisk said it when he left. Coach coached to play defense. We'd set up to punt on second down to play field position. Wouldn't try for explosive plays to keep defense rested.
Muschamp is his own worst enemy. He doesn't want the offense to win. He wants his defense to win.

If he fails, it will be his own fault. Having an unproductive offense was obviously what got him fired from Florida. When USCe rather inexplicably decided to offer him their job, how did he demonstrate that he had learned from that experience? By hiring the exact same OC that had just gotten him canned at Florida. That's the definition of insanity.

It's hilarious because as pointed out by yourself: This is the exact same rhetoric we used.
''Weiss is the problem, man. He's over the hill, can't coach an offense to save his life.''
''Brent Pease, Schment Please. He can't coach an offense to save his life.''
''Roper's the problem, if only Muschamp could have gotten a better OC.''
Guys, Gator fans knew that Muschamp was a MASSIVE, MASSIVE dump, and while McElwain may not be an amazing coach -- he won the East with much less talent, and has a winning record against FCS schools.
The only thing Muschamp did at Florida was prove that stars don't mean anything if a coach is bad.

I just posted something in a thread on another message board.
When Roper was hired at Florida some of you gator guys did this article:

Looking at that, what we are doing at South Carolina is nothing like those videos. Our qb is not a factor in the run game. Either he can't do it, or they don't want him doing it.
But we seem to be running a spread offense without any qb rushing attempts.
Wonder what this offense would be like with a Jalen Hurts/Nick Ferguson type, or someone like South Florida's qb.
Really think it is an inferior approach to the game, but if we are going to hitch ourselves to Bentley for the long haul, maybe we should go pro set. We could run some kind of H-back thing (have a couple guys with the right body).

Yeah, Mac's offense is still shite, but hey, at least UF is beating the teams they are supposed to beat and winning the SEC east. Mac is now 14-3 in SEC games during the regular season and 12-1 against the SEC east. I'm pretty sure the only coach with a better SEC record during that stretch is Saban.
That could change quickly though if things don't turn around for Florida soon.
But back to Muschamp - I mean, you had to know what you were getting when you hired him because he had just spent 4 years doing this at Florida. I don't understand why people thought he was going to be magically better at USCe. He should keep USCe bowl eligible, but that's about it unless he gets lucky again like in 2012.

Have things went to hell that quick?? In only one week? Last week y'all were going to the playoffs and Deebo was gonna win the Heisman and Waterhead was one of the best QB's in the country

This.
So when I hear all this UK will beat UF nonsense, it makes me laugh. Mac isn't good enough to win a title here. He isn't bad enough to lose to UK though.

He got fired because he didn't win enough games. If he continued to have a shite offense but won games (like he did in 2012), he'd still be here.
Muschamp is stubborn as shite. He legitimately thought he got fired because he was either unlucky or the situation he walked into wasn't that good (which is ridiculous. Meyer left like 20 NFL players on that roster including offense). He hired basically the exact same staff he had at Florida because he truly believed he was going to win a championship with that staff. I highly doubt he really learned anything, because in his mind, he wasn't doing anything wrong.

100% true. We thought he left the roster bare, until we saw what McElwain walked into. Six scholarship offensive linemen, one quarterback (Treon Harris was not a quarterback), one receiver and one running back.
Muschamp has no IDEA how to recruit offense, and lucked out on several of his players including Bentley. Muschamp will be lucky to beat any of other East Opponent this year.

If it's any indication, Brent Pease (the guy Roper replaced) was just fired this past week at UTEP.

There is so much fail ITT its as comical as our offense was on Saturday

No, BOOM will do that all by himself. Hiring Roper, again, is clear evidence that BOOM is terrible.
