Returning majority of the starters. Lose Cody Prewitt and Senquez but replace them with arguably better talent in Tee Shepard, Tony Bridges*, and CJ Hampton. The DL is just nasty, and with CJ Johnson moving to his natural position at MLB, the defensive unit has potential to be even better than it was last year. Nkemdashian is in a contract year along with Tony Connor. It could be a special unit.

The only true question mark on this team is the OL. I understand that you have to score points to win as well, but ya know, "defense wins championships."

Let's get these out of the way...

30-0
10-7
35-31

How is the QB position not a true question mark?

They'll look good in practice against your maniac QB.

Neither does the OL, which is listed as the "only" question mark.

I'll give you that, but my reasoning lies in the fact that the QB play will relate to how well the OL plays. Bad OL = bad qb play & running game.

This thread is about defense.

Is the D still going to be soft up the middle? If so, OM won't win the West.

It's too difficult to separate the two. We have no idea how good your offense will be because of the two big question marks.

Your defense will be very good, but there is no way to know if it will be enough to make up for what could potentially be a bad at times offense.

I think with an average consistent (consistent being key) offense you could challenge for the West. Your OL is extremely thin for a coach in his 4th season and it seems like teams under Freeze so far have a tendency to have big hiccups and just go scoreless.

Are you referring to the one drive that LSU had all night and it was because RN was hurt and off the field until the last 2 plays?
