Will LSU's secondary be the team's Achille's heel?

LSU’s pass defense is ranked ninth in the SEC and is allowing an average of 222.1 passing yards per game.

I think Kiffin will want to exploit this perceived weakness, but the o line will have to give Coker time.

Good thing Coker is one of the worst QB's we're going to face this year. Alabama fans are acting like it's a possibility for Coker to go off and throw for 4 TD's when we held Dak Prescott to virtually nothing earlier this year

prob our biggest weakness yes. Luckily our D-line will most likely have success against your Oline in passing situations. I also dont think Coker is an elite QB that will be able to pick us apart. He will prob get a few good ones in including a few busted coverage's by us.

Nah. This is what the special teams battle is.

LSU's secondary plays good for all but 4-5 plays per game. Unfortunately, those 4-5 plays usually result in 125-150 yards and 1-2 TDs. The coverage busts have been a glaring issue so far this year.

Kiffen will call 25 stupid cute plays that we'll blow up behind the LOS.

It does appear that is where LSU is vulnerable, however the addition of Mills is supposed to improve communication and help eliminate blown coverages. "No Fly Zone" restored!

Stat is skewed due to LSU leading most of the game and offenses having to throw vigorously.

I'd rather ya'll attempt to throw it around. It will allow for some mistakes/turnovers and it won't exploit our lack of depth at DL

To give an honest answer?

I would expect to see WRs in motion a lot. That tends to give our DBs some trouble, especially when there is a lot of younger players on the field.

But i think well shore that up in the bye week.

Key will be blowing past Cam all night long as long as Cam can't get a good hold on him...

It's not as if the secondary isn't good. WKU is the only team to "March" down the field with any co so stench throwing the ball, and that's because LSU played very soft coverage.

The scary thing for LSU is the busted plays. Lots of youth back there, but with Mills coming back healthy, the defense should be on the same page.

Kiffin will try and get the ball out of Coker's hand early. Steele will need to adjust and play more press-man than zone to disrupt the timing, make Coker hold the ball, and let the pass rush get to him.

It very well could be. LSU has talent and is holding it's own in one on one battles, but in all honesty coaching/communication is not there. No reason for 7 games into the season having so many breakdowns. Against UF it was bad; several times UF didn't take advantage because of pressure or bad QB reads, but you had two guys chasing one and at least one wide open receiver. Bama is too good for a team to gift wrap them long gains because assignments are not clearly understood.
