Will LSU's cancelation of first game hurt Fournette's chances at the Heisman?

Seems like a good game to pad a lot of stats.

I don't see Fournette topping yesterday's performance against a better opponent.

Nah. He can pad stats when he plays Ole Miss. That defense was huffing and puffing against Bama, and Kiffin wouldn't pound the rock. Look for Fournette to smash them all day.

No, getting 150 or more vs McNeese would not mean jack.

If, however, he continues his pace in SEC games, he will be the favorite.

Luckily he picked up more than enough yards for 2 games yesterday!

No, most sites (and probably voters) that track the heisman race already have him at the top. It's really his to lose. If he plays like this all season....Great things will happen for him and lsu.

If Melvin Gordon taught us anything last year it's that stats alone won't win the Heisman for a RB. You have to have what hannagrif calls a "transcendent performance" to have a chance. Having 1600 yards instead of 1800 won't be the difference in winning and losing
