I just find it funny that Ole Miss had to cheat and still is the only football program in the West with a losing record to fricking fat arse

It may be moot anyhow. If the charge against him sticks, he's virtually certain to get a show cause.

To answer the original topic, why should Freeze survive? Can someone name a coach who had success, was responsible for the program being given severe NCAA penalties, was retained, rode out the penalties, and then had success again? Most often, the mess is created and then someone else is brought in to clean it up.

Yes. LSU is the only other program in the West that doesn't have a winning record.
